Any reason to give civilians drachmae?

I have an encounter in Phokis. A starving guy wants me to give him 50 drachmae. Is there any reason to do this or can I say no?

Side quests don't really impact the story a lot but as you progress you will realise that you have more enough drachmae, (120k at chapter 5)

But to answer your question it's up to you, if your feeling kind or not

Easy, cheap xp. They only usually want 50 or 100, it’s only quest items that are like 1000. By end game I had 1.5M to spare, so in the grand scheme it’s nothing.
