Snakes are annoying

They dont offer challenge, they are just annoying and this coupled with needing to carry a torch in one hand is meh.
Either throw torch or take a bite and swing torch, either way this for me at least offers nothing but annoyance and detracts from the exploration aspect of tombs.
Would be fine with a snake or 2 every once in a while so its surprising but as it is now in game just no.

I managed to do the dodge-slow-down-time thing against a snake ONCE. But man, did I feel like such a badass that one time. :)

I just throw my torch at it and fire an arrow...if I miss the shot, the fire it carries with it finishes it off (or if you're lazy, just chuck the torch and it'll die in 3 seconds). But yeah, it gets old when there's like a million snakes in a tomb (never really seen any out in the open). I mean, if you have the throw spear assassination skill equipped, it kind of spoils the surprise by highlighting them in the dark so you're not caught with your pants down.

lol, i have no problem Rush attacking them and hitting them first with my torch... like NO problem.. so maybe its you guys and not the game LOL. i was intimidated by like the first snake and could see how if you hesitate too much youll have a "tedious rigamarole."

just get after them faster than they go after you. not hard fellas or gals.

Don't the snakes take exactly one torch hit to kill cuz the fire will take care of the rest? Yes they can be annoying when hidden behind a breakable jar and catch you off guard, but it isn't exactly a lot of effort to put them down for good either.

They are quite annoying I agree.

BUT they did provide a bit of comic relief today...I was exploring the Tomb of Agamemnon in Argolis and as I made my way through to the ability-point tablet (I forget what they're called) I stopped and thought "huh, that's super weird, I didn't encounter ONE snake here..."

Got my point and decided to check the massive hole in the floor for some extra treasure before leaving. Hopped on down and woe was me....the room was FILLED WITH SNAKES. Suffice it to say, blindly jumping into the hole was a bad idea as I was bitten to death almost immediately to which my reply was "oh, there they all are".

i had an instinct to throw my torch down, the moment i saw the snakes it was kinda relief and horrified.

OMG ....this happened to me too...lol...same tomb i assume...so i went back in and stood above the hole and threw torches at each and every one of them until all were dead.

Snakes are mostly just boring. Take out torch to see, spot snake, throw torch. Wait for it to die. Grab torch again. At this point, I’m just running/doging past them because that’s a lot faster.

The tombs really are a low point. They pretty much all look the same, all have snakes, all have a minuscule puzzle, and all have really obvious spike floor plates that, on top of that, trigger like molasses if you manage to step on one. Meh.

All you have to do is throw your torch at it, then loot it and pick the torch back up. Takes no longer than 2 seconds. I don't think the snakes annoy you. I think what annoys you is that you have to stop for a second and cant just fight your way through them like other enemies. In short, you have the attention span and patience of a 3 yr old.
