any way to survive fire?
I have elemental resistence engraved on all of my equipment, but I'm still getting 1-hit killed by fire regularly. Whenever I see a flaming blade I instantly pop stun and and run away, but I can't always escape fast enough, and of course sometimes I need to actually win the battle for a quest or something. Any other good strategies here? Fire damage seems way way OP.

Roll? Or are your running around with the 25% health engraving?

Some say jumping into water doesn't always put out fire in time but I can't confirm that myself. Roll on ground is always the best solution.

its easier to just roll the moment you get set on fire.

press and hold dodge to roll btw.

wait let's clarify something here first. Are you like on fire for a time like 10 or 20 seconds and it kills you or is it that as soon as fire touches you, your character just falls and dies in an instant from a single hit from it? just making sure because if it is the first one, just rolling once will put it out, and for the second one it may be a bug.

It depends on the enemy it seems, but it's usually 1 or 2 seconds from full health to dead. With enemies that are a level or 2 higher, it's pretty much just instant death the moment I get hit with a flaming blade. I mean, I have the difficulty cranked up, but fire seems way out of proportion.

I actually didn't know how to roll - the load screen tip says to tap space bar several times to put out flames so I've been doing that! Maybe if I can execute a roll quickly enough I can survive (sometimes). Thanks for that tip.

Fire out = Extended Dodge (press-hold Dodge) Yes, higher level fire damage is deadly, as Peel says.

Fire enemies are the most dangerous to me too
Once hit, with some enemies (not all...) you have like 1 or 2 seconds to roll or you are dead

Still, best way is to not get hit at all by fire...dodge, range, slow time, crowd control, overpower...

heal skill disables negative effects at lv 3 i think, if you haven't reached that high lvl yet just equipping heal and using just before the heal drops to zero can help u survive more.

Or you can kill enemy by just luring him to high building and kicking him to death.

Or just keep running away after assassination, rinse and repeat to deal with hard enemies.

I've never died by fire, in 86 hours play time. Died a lot, just not by fire. Just run and roll and it won't do much damage.

Dont run, roll. One roll puts out fire damage instantly.

The tool tip from the game is misleading. It says to tap dodge to roll, however they forgot to mention that this (tapping instead of holding) only works when you are crouching.

Granted, you almost immediately go into a lunging roll and extinguish flames, but it's awkward at best. (Not to mention the dry shrubbery that will ignite if you're not careful where you roll.)

Although, if you pick up or are holding a corpse while burning, you will stop taking burn damage for some reason. I discovered this after accidentally setting a guard on fire while trying to toss him over a fort wall and grazing a brazier.

My own beef about the fire in this game; The player is too easily set alight by dropped guard torches, tomb sconces, and even tiny candles by roaming too near. A campfire is obvious, but the smaller details shouldn't be so hazardous.
(Before anyone chimes in with comments about "realistic/fire burns," keep in mind this is a game with a character who can leap off of a 500m cliff and live, slow down time, breathe under water, etc.,

Fire and certain poison wielding mercs are literally the only obstacles left for me in the game. I dominate everything on every difficulty minus some dude with a fire weapon that catches me off guard. There are plenty of times where the fire build up is so fast I don't even get a roll off in time.
