[SPOILERS] Dumb plot-point?
Alright so i am at the mission where you are trying to find which of the spartan kings is a member of the cult. So i tried to convince Lagos to leave the cult, but he refused because i let those abused prostitutes or whatever kill the Monger. What gives? Why am i given the choice to rescue his family and all that when it does not matter in the end anyway?

Also why does it matter to a guy who was forced into the cult that one of its more immoral members was killed by the citizens of the place he was in charge of? Without his family as blackmail, surely he would have no reason to stay loyal to the cult?

EDIT:
w h a t
did this stupid plot point get me exiled from sparta?

did you recsue his family before you went to see him or started weakening him? you had also had to kill monger in secret, not publicly too.

lagos was forced but he now like being in the cult, rescuing his family is to make you try to force him to change his mind. and you are exiled because you are accused of having killed the wolf of sparta and kill the monger, basically because you act like a anti-sparta citizen.
you are exiled because they are kings and you are just a peasant for them.

He was already working with the cult even before his family got taken as hostage, so he does have at least a strong sympathy for the cult to begin with, and nothing indicates that he had any real plan to betray the cult before his family was taken as hostage, but the cultists are paranoid so they took his family anyway, he seems to me that this guy is just a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hypocrite.
Also, I didn't get exiled after killing him so idk.

maybe because you didn't kill wolf and didn't bring the monger to the theater as androusa asked ?

I did kill the wolf of sparta and I also killed the monger in the theater.

if you done as the 2 kings requested then you should be okay i think...its just proving which king is bad not posible to the public after probably you need all 5 clues . you would have to kill him secretly without anyone knowing or finding out about it though.

I've got past this point also literally yesterday and also am extremely annoyed by the game refusing to let me redeem myself through the handling of the Lagos situation. Can't believe the Monger is already the pivotal point which is just one-third into-the game, and whichever way I choose at Arkadia will become completely pointless.

However to my true amazement is what happened next. So I got the being thrown out of Sparta cutscene and Myrriene said that the king needed to be dealt with ASAP, then I went straight back in and killed the cultist king and for some reason I was immediately allowed another audience with the other king who supposedly banished me from the grounds five minutes ago? This section can use some serious improvement.

I kinda lucked into making the right choices to not get exiled. I went with bresidas's plan for the monger, and when the game pushed back I figured it would be important later on so I opted to kill him in the cave.
