Assassin's Creed Odyssey

Assassin's Creed Odyssey

Statistiche:
Weapon damage vs elemental damage
So now that I've reached the level cap, I'm experimenting with different builds in an effort to maximize damage output and mix up my play style a bit. One thing I'm not sure of is whether or not elemental and weapon damage coexists.

For example: If I'm using a dagger engraved with "Weapon Damage becomes Fire Damage", does that mean Dagger damage is replaced by Fire damage, thus making any "15% Damage with Daggers" buffs useless? Obviously this would also apply to poison, other weapon types, and potentially elemental skills.

I spent much of the game focused on a poison/spear build but now I'm having fun making crispy Grecian nuggets with a fire/dagger build. I chose the Dagger of Kronus, but I have a feeling that its 15% damage buff is completely lost once engraved with "becomes Fire...".
Messaggio originale di Anelyn:
So you have a dagger which impacts directly by it's DPS (irrelevant of damage type) your warrior damage.

The dagger deals fire damage - so any buffs to fire damage will increase your warrior damage (even if IT IS NOT SHOWN currently on warrior damage).

Also being a dagger, any % + dmg to daggers will also increase this damage, but not reflected either on inventory screen currently.

Yes they add up. I play a poison build, with a poison dagger, I have 105% poison dmg bonus. My warrior dmg at lvl 50 is ~7k. Yet I hit 20-30k hits non crit with my dagger.

Would be interested to see your build once you're happy with it. Right now I'm still having fun BBQ'ing my ancestors but a pure stealth/assassin build sounds like a nice way to change things up.
This is how it stands right now, it's not finalized. Like I say I am not going for a max damage build, I am tailoring it to how I want to play the game.

Hard difficulty
Level 48
Health 59142
Hunter damage 5850
Warrior damage 6059
Assassin damage 97255
Armor 7060 (epic Assassin armor full set)

Engravings:
+25% damage on elites and bosses
+30% armor penetration
+20% damage with Predator Shot
+15% damage with Assassin abilities
+20% movement speed while crouched
+15% adrenaline per hit
+50% crit damage at low health
+50% crit damage at full health
+25% damage on animals
+10% elemental resistance
+20% poison damage

20% health restored on death

Basic arrows become poison arrows (just because my best bow is Fanged Bow right now)

Passive abilities:

Stealth Master
Weapons Master
Gear Master
Archery Master
Arrow Master (just two levels, I don't use explosive arrows)

Shadow Assassin
Critical Assassination
Sixth Sense

Poison Mastery (this is because my best bow at the moment has the engraving for poison arrows, that is all this is used for) and one level of Venomous Attacks just to get that.
Overpower Attacks (for conquest battles)

Melee skill group:
Second Wind
Hero Strike
Sparta Kick
Shield Breaker

Assassination skill group:
Rush Assassination
Hero Strike
Vanish
Shadow of Nyx

Ranged skill group:
Predator Shot
Multi-Shot

Abilities are all at level three except for a couple where stated.

Using daggers.

Riding a unicorn!
Looks pretty solid. I might have to try something similar. I might suggest a couple alternatives to try though...

Do you really need the 20% health on death? I mean, how often does it really trigger? lv3 second wind should be all you need and you free up a buff slot, perhaps 10% more assassin dmg.

Agree on not needing 3 in arrow master however, why even 2? You can get fire and poison from egravings or skills, only need 1 point for KO arrows.

Multi-shot; I had this maxed at one point and decided it wasn't for me. I prefer Rain for multi-kill. This probably comes down to personal preference though, as one requires horizontal line of sight and the other vertical. I just found the latter more useful/effective.

Daggers are great for an elemental build. Faster attack speed means faster buildup, right?

Poison is great. I spent most of my 120 hours (thus far) running a poison build. Though, I'm currently loving the chaos of FIRE!

Oh... and I'm riding the flaming horse appropriately (hope that wasn't a spoiler).

Yes that was a spoiler but w/e :)

I just have that legendary engraving because I got it lately. It has never procced yet, I haven't been killed since I got it. I'll take another look at the slot some time.

Arrow Master has an extra point for no good reason really, but I don't have anything else to use the point on. Sometimes fire arrows are useful for destroying things from cover. I don't want to be swapping abilities in and out, it's annoying. I could build up the charged heavy attack but it doesn't fit my combat style very well. Still that will be my next skill I suppose.

I don't use Multi-Shot much, I got it to deal with some chickens. Use it when boarding mostly.

Thanks for your feedback!

Sorry about that. It's pretty epic (well, legendary actually) LOL!
You don't need all that to OHK polemarchs on nightmare with assasinations. Just put +40% dmg from behind, use poison weapon and enjoy. I do it regularly and I have no % crit or crit damage modifiers.

Your build relies on landing a crit to OHK, mine doesn't need the crit. Keep in mind that the 40% dmg from behind applies LAST, after all other bonuses are calculated. Having +115% poison damage and 100k assassin dmg, I have no problem to OHK with critical assassination (and rush assassination takes them to 30% hp or so from behind).

Also, the 40% dmg from behind also applies to arrows shot from behind the target, OHK with devastating shot - my build - with poison arrow is very plausible.
It seems everything stacks in case of melee weapons.
+warrior damage and +poison/fire damage when you have poison/fire active. Also fire/poison ignores armor (or a big part of it).
On level 49 I have 9300 damage with my weapon on character screen since I found crazy good helmet :
+14% warrior damage
+18% damage with swords
+10% damage with swords/daggers

and sword :
+14% warrior damage
+15% damage with swords

those 2 items alone doubled my warrior dps compared to previous weapon

total warrior damage : +110%
sword damage on top of that : +43%
poison damage : +75%
The more is your damage, the more poison debuff gives raw damage (since its %)

On elite captain (sword + heavy axe) my combo finisher critted 175k from 1h sword (enemy was poisoned)

Key thing is that you need to mix light and heavy attacks so you get bonus damage on combo finisher.

I understand some things specifically buff fire damage, however do stuff that buffs elemental damage work the same way or does that only refer to the DoT? Elemental damage buff seems pretty lackluster compared to the fire or poison buffs.

I beat Origins but I don't like this game. What is there to do at max level? The forest just reminds me too much of fallout 76. Does Valhalla have better trees and world?
