For the boar you are going to want to use venom and flame attacks to keep one or the other effect on it at all times. Then it is a matter of learning its attack pattern and learning the best way to deal with the boars it will summon.
Dodge towards the boar when he's close (not when he's charging, dodge to the side in that case, hopfully putting a few flaming or poison arrows in his tiny, misaligned hitbox) and you'll get a few seconds to hit him in the backside. The "weak spot" critical yellow damage area is just like the elephant's from Origins. If you're lucky, you'll also get a slow time bonus depending on which way the boar's head is thrashing.
If you have the Spartan kick ability, this can buy you a ew seconds to orient yourself as well.
The hard part is the waves of evil bacon minions. Try to get them out of the way first. More won't spawn until you do enough damage to the Legendary.
The good news is, that after this first beast, all but one of the rest seem like a cakewalk if you're at or under the animal's level. I defeated the giant elk one level below recommended and was shocked at the difference in difficulty.
That is really clever! I will try this with The Erymanthian Boar
Using a squad of mercs should even out the odds. Nobody should ever have to die from toxic pig farts
Some examples:
Elemental strategy, pick either poison or fire (Fire will do it faster, Poison is safer to work with, and gives some defensive help) and gear for it. Find gear that buffs your chosen element, get the skills you need to back it up, and keep the element active on the boar, then just stay out of the way and kill the little boars.
Devastating shot strategy. Max out your hunter damage, bet the legendary bow that buffs devastating shot, get good at headshoting the boar. This is probably the fastest way to put it down.
coward way.
Nope, dodge and healing skill is all that's needed here, along with a massive dose of patience...
Srsly people complete darksouls playing with their feet. Stop omplaining about optional boss fight like that one - I was very exited to see something like this in an assassins creed game.
