How long do bodies stay?

I killed this snake seller last week, and have been playing everyday since then

i think it depends on the body, normal enemies seem to disappear relatively quickly, certain story characters/cultist character bodies seem to stay for ever or at least for a very long time, at least for me.

I think bodies that are killed inside towns and the like disappear faster, it would make sense

probably, the body from the leader of the peloponesian league cult branch still is where i killed him about 30 or 40 hours ago (if i remember right) in a smaller village though.

I found another case, looks like some bodies in the towns also remain

These bodies are from when I was looking for Thespis for that play, its those guards that were ment to keep him drunk there.
Strangely it's only 2 of them, I know there was a brute and a hoplite aswell

I'm finding that in some locations the disappear fairly quickly, while in others they hang around. I've laso noticed that some bodies disappear, while others near them don't.

Although it is sort of a hoot to return to one of my kills and see the corpse surrounded by ravens and vultures feeding on it.

I went back to Kephelonia and down in the bushes by the beach near my house I found the first man I ever killed in this game.

That was 340 hours ago.
