[spoilers] Blood Fever
I was thinking in terms of "roleplaying game logic" when I made my choice in this quest.

I figured letting the family go would make the fever worse, but that there'd be some subsequent quest to tidy things up. That seemed like the more interesting option.

When I got the first consequence of the decision, I went back to Kephallos expecting the next stage, but couldn't find anything to fix the situation. Looked on the web and in turns out there isn't any way to do that.

So I just restarted my game... Took me a day to get back to where I was... Not too bad since I could skip the conversations and cut scenes, and I was much better at combat.

Guess this means I am invested in the world. Also making me think pretty hard about dialog choices which I guess is a good thing.

Yeah I was shocked about the descion I made about letting the family live and coming back to the island and theirs bodies burning in the street ect I felt well bad for it. I couldn't kill the kids. Sure shown me tho for letting compassion get in the way.

It seems like it's really a toss up? The only gameplay relevant consequence (you know, besides feeling bad) is whether the daughter dies. She's friends with the little girl you lived with and shows up one time so far later. The oracle also mentions if the girl is alive or not when you talk to her.
On the other hand, the people being unhappy and the bodies burning in Kephalonia seems to be just cosmetic. None of the actual NPCs you talk to seem to have died from the plague.

Yes, seems like it has no practical consequences. Still I feel like my character would have felt really bad about the outcome so I spent a few hours redoing it! For my money that is a good sign for a roleplaying game.

It's a pretty straight forward decision actually.

Modern day science allows us the luxury to build a quarantine wing in a hospital and hope that there's a cure to patch up the sick, and get to stand on the moral high ground. But two thousand years ago the responsible thing to do was to have every potential disease carrier put down permanently on the spot and burned. Kinda surprised the priest and the soldiers didn't catch whatever that was by coming into contact with the last survivors.

At the end of the day, Kephalos is the tutorial island giving you the taste of things to expect in the rest of the game. Telling Phoibe that he/she would return was just the standard child comfort line as Kass or Alex was totally ready to move on with his/her life never to return.
