Will killing spartans effect the game?

Im at the place where you first see the wolf but cant meet him yet. And so im working for the spartans, so if i kill spartans or do contracts against them what effect will this have? Any?

No, it's a main quest.

No effect on killing either Spartan or Athenians. You aren't on either side of the war and just take coins for the kills as a mercenary.

Though I think a lot of people are disappointed by the fact that they can't really choose to side with one faction or another. Even when I'm working for the Athenians or the Spartans they will attack me for entering their controlled areas as if I weren't a widely recognized hero making legends for herself furthering the Athenian or Spartan agenda. As of mid-game my face is recognized most places I go so there's really no excuse for the violence of my allies.

I really wanted to side with the Spartans, because "SPARTAAAAAA" but as Jack_of_tears pointed out that is simly not possible.

And that is a huge let down i really wish they would not attack me and let me travel through there controlled areas or camps. "Like oh you are one of us please feel free to help yourself out to this chest and what this place have to offter" and then make u fight for it in the Athenians places.

I find it weird but yeah just kill everything and everyone.

except you're a mercenary, in an area you've no busniess being, (by your own admission Norr you're in their camp taking their stuff) and as Jack mentioned by mid game everyone knows who you are
