I'll suggest you to fast travel as far as you can, go in a safe spot, and maintain the map key few seconds for passing ingame from day to night and reverse, effectively spending 2 days looking at clouds
once you came back to the spot, it should have reapeared, including eventual ennemies and chests ^^
In the higly unlikely eventuality it don't reapear, do it again, but before caming back, save the game, exit then reload the save :)
I don't know if that's accurate but if so it doesn't work, like the original poster I had went to this isnland early on, by the time I came back to do this quest many more than two in game and real life days had past and still could not loot the chest.
are you sure about that? never seen anychest respawn and didnt heard anything about thatt feature.
Im running v1.1.1.
devs should lock thats chest or any chest link to quests until said quest requirements are meant that way ppl wouldnt accidently open said chesst beforehand.
edit:i usually dont repeat forts...do chests in forts respawn?
