Snake in the Grass Main Quest is BROKEN!!!!

Okay so first off, I did not buy this from steam. I got it on my PS4. But it seems to me this problem is happening in both computer and consoles. After you find and kill Elpenor, your main questline disappears as do the main character leading that quest. Herodotus is gone and the Pythia is gone. I cannot talk to them, I cannot progress in the story. Now i did not go find him before the quest told me too.

In fact I didn't go looking for him until after the quest said "He's still somewhere in Phokis I have to find him". So I had already met with the Pythia, gone to her house, bust down her door and spoken with her. Now I am looking for him so I can steal his disguise. HOWEVER, after finding him, killing him and stealing the disguise I have no where to go and nothing to do. I would hate to have to redo the quest, redo my levels, redo my side quests and all my explorations just because of this bug.

I have tried restarting the game and the PS4. I have tried loading back before I got this far in the quest and I have tried doing it in the order that other online guides have said but this keeps happening to me. So if this has happened to you or if you just care about other players getting screwed out of their time then please post here and let me hear your thoughts. I was really enjoying this game until now and I feel like I just wasted a lot of money.

That sucks although just to add I didnt have any issues on this quest on PC so might just be a PS4 thing havent seen any threads till now about it on PC.

I have actuall. It's why I decided to make this forum. While lookking to see if anyone else had this problem I came across a steam forum of them complaining about it. What got my attention was that Ubisoft reponded to their comments. So I wanted to make a forum and get their attention again. Apparently this bug has been around for a week now and still no fix. I can understand a lot of people are getting frustrated.

I bought the game on PC direct from UBISOFT and have the same issue apparently the questline breaks if you find Elpenor on your own. UBI has yet to find a fix for this so can either wipe and start over or go back to a manual save from when I was level 10 that is over 15hrs ago of gameplay. THANKS for a broken game UBISOFT!

Hmm I don't have this problem. Probably because I did not find him before comleteting the wolf quest. Quests can break in open world RPGs such as this. They'll fix it I'm sure.

What I did was first killing him, then break into Pythia's house. No problems whatsoever.

I didn't have this problem on this quest but I'm generally in the habit of keeping at least two manual saves when I play RPG's. I keep a daily save that I just do whenever I log out. I'll also do a save every once in a while when it occurs to me or before any big event. This generally guaurantee's that if something weird happens I don't have to completely screw myself over to go back and hopefully undo it.

I had no problems either. I was able to kill him, and then speak to the Pythia. I got it on PC through Uplay.

Pc fine aswell had no problems at all. Tbh haven't experienced any bugs yet when the forums are riddled with bug reports put about 22 hours in level 29

same for me, although I still have to go into Pythia's house. But I hope I won't be getting any problems.

OP mentioned he killed him after he already wen to the Pythia... that really sucks.
Because lots of players choose different approaches, especially in a open world game.
I hope for you guys that this will be fixed.

Yeah I hear where you guys are coming from but I didn't kill Elpenor while out exploring. I was follwing the quest line that told me I had to go find him and kill him. Then I found him and killed him..then my game broke lol
