Wolf of Sparta bug? Wrong Outcome From my Decision
(Spoiler, I guess?) So, I chose to spare Nikolaos, however the game has decided to record that I killed him. I didnt discover this until a few hours later and my auto saves had erased the save before. So that screwed up a lot of story for me. What exactly gives, like thats kinda important?

what exactly made you think that the game thinks you killed him?

When speaking to Barnabas sometime after to advance the storyline, he asks Alexios if I had killed my father. Alexios replied "Stepfather". Then Barnabas replies, "well maybe the gods will forgive for Step-Patricide." Then I gotta go to the guy who ordered the hit to claim the money as it says I did kill him

He went AWOL, everyone just assumes he's dead and the protagonist plays along.

ah, dont worry, thats what everybody thinks in the world, when you spare him he disappears (deserts), as he said, he goes and searches his honor but nobody ever saw his dead body. They assume he is dead though.

I came here to ask this exact question. Thanks Ponky for asking it so I didn't have to wait for answers!

I thought the same but when certain character asked me about father, there was an option "Yeah I killed him" and also there was a scale icon indicating that this would be a lie.
