Krakens aren't from Greek mythology, people just think they are because in the old Clash of the Titans movie they conflated the Kraken with the Ethiopian Ketos. It's bizarre to me that monsters are going to be rampant during the Peloponnesian War, but if we've already got Medusa, why not Hydra, Chimaera, etc?

Well Medusa is not really a mythical creature in this game but a human wearing a mask made of Isu technology, the old civilization who existed in the Assassins Creed world long before humanity. There is no magic in the game at all, all mystical stuff is just technology form that lost civilization.

They did gods in a ubisoft challenge thing for origins, they called them "Glitches in the animus." so I wouldn't put it passed them.

I am just curious if they plan more. On one of those Volcanic Islands (it´s Nisyros I think), you can find lava arena, so I was expecting to meet a Cerberus there, but right now it´s empty. There are just some orichalcum piles to grab.
