Sparta Kick kills target

Why does "Sparta Kick" kill target? Are there any other ways of recruiting a strong enemy (When you can't knockout it)?

Depends, what enemy are you trying to take down? Not all targets can be kept alive.

This is what i do, when i Get them on Low health, i Blind them(forgot skill name, its like a flashbang) and then i run away/hide from them, Afterward when they start searching me i sneak Behind them and Press "E" to recruit/hire

Leave your secondary weapon empty and fist fight them when they're low on health. There, they are knocked out and not dead.

Was it the kick itself, or fall damage? As for me, I have a weapon slot unequipped, and when they have almost no health, switch to that and punch them. Or use paralyzing arrows. You can also run out of sight, hide, and use a non-lethal assassination to finish them.

There's also knock out arrows

The game actually says that sparta kick will not kill the target so it might be a bug or maybe you're kicking them into a wall? If an enemy hits a wall they take damage and that might be lethal. Also it's not a great idea to leave a weapon slot unequiped because the stats from both weapons count towards your character regardless of if they are active or not.

Yeah it may be broken. It says it adds 15% damage to sparta kick, but sparta kick does KO damage not real damage so it's probably an oversight on the devs part and the enemies just die because of it.

In my experience, its been caused by the kick dealing "non-lethal" damage, but the force of them hitting a wall/rock/weapon rack/whatever has killed them after the kick has already taken their health down to 0.

your right i can recruit them when there are no objects like rocks walls cliffs you only can use sparta kick when in a place without them like a grassplain a fort on the ground if its big enough etcetc if they hit anything they die

I used Nik's sword for a long time, and used its 20% kick engraving on other weapons and was able to KO mercs as needed, I don't think that's the problem.

I was just trying various methods of non-lethal damage and the target kept dying. Turned out the problem was that they were already poisoned when they were knocked out.

This is off topic, but make sure you upgrade the kick to 3rd tier ASAP it's so satisfying to send people flying with blazing speed.
