Female armour

Why is there only one set of female armour? I think the option to play as a female was an after thought, W e know RL Spatans didnt have special armour for the women, but even Skyrim has female armour! lazy devs.

this is absolutely true. this wasn't just in the western world either. chinese armor wasnt altered for gender when it was used (it was used by women in certain eras/areas). there are some cool videos on youtube with women trying armor on, they prefered the normal 'male' armor since the fantasy boob armor was horrible to wear.

Listen, there ARE already 2 or 3 sets that are well defined female armours set in the game, that are within plausibility. This is the key factor : plausibility

Disregarding the sci-fi and conspiracy elements, AC is defined by sticking to the standards of the era it's representing as much as possible. The only few sets that have a female variant are cloth and leather sets, which are not the type of armors soldiers would use (who are the main demand of the mass produced armours)

A custom breastplate serves little to no functionality, and any warrior woman would sooner just pick a common armor than have to commission a custom, more expensive, one just to add unnecessary room up there. Plate armour was usually spacious enough for fit women and they would wear clothing and leather below it anyway.

It's alright if you wanna use the surreal aspects of the game to justify their existance in a historical setting, but the concept of metal armour design is virtually set in stone.

Pfttt....Mass production in classical era? You don't see "Munition" grade armor until Roman Empire come about when professional soldier was a thing and that kind of lost until the late 12th century. Custom made armors was not unusual in that era either because you are f king rich after you fough a war or 2, you would want the best and the most comfortable armor money can buy. Finally do not confuse a classical era greek cuirass with a god durn 13th century plate, 2 different thing. Greek cuirass was suppose to be form fitting and a 13th century plate was suppose to be roomy because you are wearing a gambeson/chain underneath. Go to a museum or something and look at the real thing, it will make more sense then... hahh... Funny how people are going on about realism when there are nothing real or accurate in this game.

yeah, but the devs prolly knew that guys from FO4 and Skyrim give dat game a try cuz of a female fighter - so it´s hopefully understandable that for us such things as armor is nice to have. I dont talk about getting it for free u know.
And also all in all it shouldnt be a kiddy game or a game only for guys who only like to have male heroes.
And as a topping: i dont think males or females wear underwear dat time ... but i could be wrong.
