Upgrading legendary armor tips?

I'm still in early game but I noticed that it's a bit costly to upgrade legendary piece.... I am aiming for Amazon set for my kassandra, the question is what is the level of that amazon set when I got them?

Depends on what level you were when you get the pieces.

You can always dismantled armor or weapons that you do not want to get the resources for upgrading purposes.

its usually between levels 25-40 for the whole set. but like the previous person said all gear depends on what level gear you are and what your current highest level gear is. generally you recieve either same level or 1-2 levels below what you currently have or are.

Once you obtain the whole set, you unlock the set bonus as an engraving. You can simply toss that bonus onto any armor piece so you can avoid expensive upgrade costs.

If you want to wear the set for fashion reasons, then I would avoid upgrading until you are level 50, as repeated upgrades will decimate your resources.

Don't try to upgrade armor that often. You'll always be wanting for materials. If there's one legendary piece you really like, upgrade it when it's 5-10 levels beneath the rest of yours, but otherwise, it's really not worth it. Also, when you complete a set of legendary armor, the game automatically raises the level of all pieces to match the last one you get, i.e. the highest level one. So it's doubly a waste to try and upgrade set pieces all the time.

Stick to epic gears. They are underrated, 3 slots of stats + 1 engraveable stat.

When getting a legendary, they come with 2 stats + 1 engraveable + 1 bonus stat on complete. That means for a legendary set that hasnt complete, you wasted 1 slot of each piece unused.

Doesnt mean legendary pieces are useless though, occationally they have some OP stats, spartan war hero sets was the first set that impresses me, then the amazon armor + bracelet. Other amazon pieces not really helpful. Once you've complete a set, the engraving is free for you to engrave into armor pieces/weapons you desire.

Right now im using :

1. timeless eye (epic helm)

2. Amazon bracelet (legend)

3. Amazon armor (legend)

4. Father time (epic belt)

5. And an unknown epic shoe, could be spartan war hero greaves.

I always upgrade the epic set, and occasionally legends as soon as i got the mats to spend. Leather is very important and very lacking in my upgrades.

For your question, one you completed the set, all the pieces of the sets will be upgraded to your level at that time you complete them (at least from my experience, lvl46 for spartan war heroes sets when i was lvl46)

I second the preference for epic gear. They really are just better in every way but looks. You get 3 base stats, plus the ability to engrave legendary perks. So, the way to go is really completing legendary sets to get the engraving, then putting it on epic gear for an optimal build. I just wish we could have cosmetic armor slots, so I can at least get the look of the legendary sets.

In other notes, maybe you can look at it this way : the final piece you may collect probably hold by the cultists, look at their info and see which lvl they are currently at.

Yeah its ridiculous, to upgrade legendary armor to lvl 35 i need over 800 leather over 9000 gold.

aye .. use "purple" con gear ... let the auto-level effect happen when you collect all the gear items ... so you save resources which you will need on better purple gear (which has more effect slots).

from an bonus stand point .. the legendary isnt worth extra effort.

I play on nightmare and I never upgrade anything. EVER. There are so much loot and armor that I found upgrading weapons and armor to be not only a waste of resources/time, but also makes the game BORING AF. Epic and blue gear are all you ever need, and the fun comes from the mix and matching your equipment based on the drops that you get to create an ever changing build and play style.

Instead of focusing directly on the following the game’s storyline quests back to back, I spent a lot of time doing side quests and finding synchronization points. I didn’t want to blow through the game with a lot of quests not done. Now, I’m at level 56, haven’t completed any cultist tree or the Goddesses Hunt. After defeating a legendary animal and bringing it back to Daphne, I get a piece of Artemis gear, but I need about 20,000 drachmas, a couple thousand pelts, and a few hundred obsidian glass to upgrade the armor to my current level. I guess when more levels above 50 were added, every piece of armor and weapon collected wasn’t.

When you collect a set of Legendary armor it upgrades automatically to your current level for FREE.

the Agamemnon set is great for Warrior Fire builds
