BTW, in PC press Z to stop/start singing and X to change song

There are more than one in english. This link has all the shanties in the game, mixed with some random songs. I have noticed that the ones in english are tied to your odyssey, and the things that have been happening in the story, like the Fate of the Wolf, Death of the Wolf, Cult of Kosmos, Myrinne, Odyssey, Golden Age of Athens, Fall of Athens, Mysterious Minotaur.

Buuuuuut, I honestly have heard two of ones in english in almost 150 hours of gameplay. Which is weird. I noticed that sometimes when you order to change shanties, the crew goes silent, maybe a bug? Who knows. All I know is that there are shanties missing from my game.

I do wish to have the lyrics for both greek and english, or at least the greek ones translated. :D

Main complaint is that most aren't in English, not their performance/artistic merit? I'm glad Ubi aren't bothering to cater to the tastes of players that don't appreciate quality.

I noticed, and I am not debating it, since not everybody can be pleased. Just felt like sharing the entire list of shanties.

I love that the majority are in greek, and that they hired actual greek choirs for the shanties. According to one Dimitris Ilias, the two choirs chosen were, The Missolonghi Municipal Choir directed by Spyros Cholevas in Missolonghi, Greece; and the Zakynthian Voices in Montreal directed by Petros Pylarinos.

I also appreciate that the songs that are in english were also song by the same greek choirs, since it gives it more authenticity due to the heavy accent.

Also, it seems that some of the songs are actual poems written in Ancient Greece long ago by the poets of the time such as Anacreon, Alcaeus of Mytilene and Archilockos.

To me the shanties sound so horrible with a male crew singing. Once i changed the crew to an all female crew, the shanties suddenly started sounding so majestic.

I love alternating my crew to hear both crew sings. I will say when its calm seas I love listening to the female crew. But when there is a storm at sea nothing beats the male crew signing Ares God of War, and Poseidon God of the Sea. :D

Honestly I wouldn't know. The only words I know in greek are misthios, malaka, and chaire, thanks to the game. :steamhappy: But if you look at the first video I posted and you let me know which song is it from the timestamp I could try and help you figure it out. I love research. :)

Never played Origins, but I believe it if you say that Bayek constantly said that phrase, I think is a thing with Ubi.

I just want the option or a seperate sound options slider to disable them completely. It gets annoying after a while, just like in black flag.

It was mention that you can shut them up. They should stay quite until you order them to sing again. I dont know the keybind since I use a gamepad. But it should be there.
