Any way to farm wood?

I need some to upgrade my boat

Sinking ships is a good way. It can also be bought from many blacksmiths. Also, the fort supplies usually have a good quantity.

disable ships, then backup and ram them in half as hard as possible for bonus wood.

loot every tree you can see, i have more issues with tablets then wood

Don't forget to loot the supply bundles before you burn them.

I've found wood to be the most plentiful resource.
1. There's tons of wood & iron in the spartan/athens supply boxes that are all over the map
2. Grab it in the wild as you run by olive trees
3. Any ship you sink will give a good amount (more if you board & loot ships before sinking)
4. Scrap weapons & armor you don't use
5. Buy it from merchants. (never had to do this, but it's an option)

The thing I run out of sometimes run out of is iron, but still I've never felt a need to specifically farm anything. But then again I don't try to upgrade everything at once, I space out upgrades a bit.

Having tried to upgrade a few items early game I quickly found it pretty useless. Unless you've collected that full Legendary set which absolutely suits your build but unlikely gonna happen till the later half of the game or a specific Epic piece for its unique appearance, gears drop so often everywhere along the way that you literally don't even need to buy a weapon from the store ever.

Hit level 50 after which you can do the following for alot of wood.
-Loot Trees
-Loot Supply Boxes and Nation Treasures
-Break down gear (Epic tend to give 50 and Rares around 30-40 depeneding on gear being broken down)
-Wake up in the morning
-Destroy Ships
-Conquest Ship Battles

I have 100k in every material piece but i lack the tablets to finish upgrading the last two things i need.

Is this true? I thought you only got half when destroying ships without boarding them. At least, that's how it was in Black Flag, otherwise there wasn't much incentive to board since sinking them is so much easier.

yeah, i used to board but then i read about cleaving for rewards in a loading screen tip and sure enough, lots of wood and gold
if theres any special gear or mercs on board you get that loot too.
usually you wont get the blue junk from the chests but you get more resources from the cleave than you would from scrapping the chest loot anyway

Ruined forts (red broken fort icon) always have stone tablets

Keep attacking merchant ships and the pirate ones. They drop a reasonable amount of wood. Rinse and repeat.
