Ummm...Alexios was played by an actual greek voice actor, as was much of the cast.

Greek Ancestry does not "translate" (pardon the pun) to a Greek Accent.
And keep in mind, we're talking about a company who hires writers who's idea of "romance" is "Here's the item you wanted. Hey, let's do it on your floor." So you'll forgive me if my faith in said company being able to effectively judge a potential actor's "Greek Accent" as authentic or not, to be less than absolute.
But, on the positive side, if they decide to do the next Assassins Creed in Germany, Ireland, or Poland, I could probably pick up some voice acting work.
I forgive them, given it's their first attempt, but I wish there was an overall romance, like in Mass Effect where you worked towards it and it carried over though the games.
Instead you can pretty much sleep with anyone and everyone without consequence. Kinda lazy really. If they wanna do the whole RPG thing they're gonna have to step it up!
He was literally born in Athens. How much more Greek do you want him to be?
Honestly it wouldn't suprise me if some random townie on a lute starts belting out a George Strait song in flawless Georgia Southern Drawl.
Can see it now, stroll into Athens, and there's Hermiclese strumming a harp singing "Alllllll my ex's live in Texas......."
I mean we're bouncing all over the greek world, never staying in one place, so at least the landlocked lovers make sense as a fling. The ones you can recruit should have more interaction as part of your crew however, and hopefully they'll improve on this feature in future games. Maybe even let one crew member join us out in the world, all of them can fight.
Actually it's not a "first attempt". Go back to AC2 Brotherhood. Ezio had a "romance" option with that married countess (Been a while, I forget her name) if you succeded, she later meets you at your uncle Mario's villa, and there's a pretty good scene where Ezio goes to get a bath and she disrobes to join him, then they head off to bed. It doesn't really show anything beyond suggestive, but it's still light-years more "fleshed out" and better written than anything in Origins and Odyssey.
If they were able to do it properly that many years ago, the fact that they're incapable of doing anything more than this current comedic and pathetic attempt reinforces my previous statements that the current bunch are nothing more than hacks PRETENDING at being "writers".
For a single character, with only one option for that type of encounter (by your description, i didn'tplay any ac outside of syndicate a little and trying liberation on pc ugh), there is much less challenge than 2 different characters and 10 romantic options with varied genders. On this scale, that is problematic. So to have what we got, isn't awful. And it's still better than Skyrim or Fallout4. Honestly noone is going to do it like Bioware (it's kind of their niche really) especially not in their first foray into character gender options and huge open world rpg. I'm shocked we jad romance at all tbh.
I'm a huge fan of romamces in games, it's even a selling point for me in an rpg. But by the end of the game, i saw why it would make sense for the PC to not commit, and in the setting considering their "job" and lack of stability it made sense as well.
