The Doctor Will See You Now - BUG!

Hey so I have the game on console but I thought I would chuck this up on here for you PC folk. So I was doing the mission 'The Doctor Will See You Now' and it requires you to go to a Fort and speak to a doctor. Now, my approach was to clear the fort first, and then go and speak to him. However this appears to have brke the mission. I have spoken to him AFTER clearing the fort and he asks me to 'Acquire the Bone Forceps'. This is where its bugged, the forceps are in a chest found in the fort (Have seen on a couple of youtube vids), however having already cleared the place and having already looted the chest I am now unable to access it. I dont even get a mission marker pointing towards it.

So if you have NOT completed this mission yet, I would recommend speaking to the doctor first! Before you attempt to clear the fort/open the chest.

Has anyone else had this problem yet? Im hoping it gets patched ASAP as I dont want to reload a previous save (as the last save thats not bugged is about 4-5 hours playtime behind).

I cleared the fort then spoke to him and it worked just fine
I did choose to clear it non-lethally (knocked out everyone and recruited the leaders)

Am having the exact same problem, and I stupidly kept playing rather than reverting to an old save. I am now unable to advance the main quest.

I also cleared the fort first and had no issues completing the quest. Maybe you could trigger an invasion of the region, then go back after the fort switches sides and respawns?

Most of these quest related items will be put into your non-sellable section of stuff even without acquiring the task first. There are even automatic seperate conversation lines saying you have already acquired the specific items.

Having that said, don't think anyone can prove that it's 100% bug free for all similar quests. For example, the Prince of Persia quest line reward is absolutely bugged for everyone who has looted the location beforehand without warning.

Hey guys, So I was actually able to find a save that wasn't 'too far back' so just had to redo a few small things, and I made sure to talk to him first before opening the chest this time so all good. Also I did not have the forceps in my inventory the first time, if I went back to his room my character would say something like 'I need to get those bone forceps first'..... but there would be no quest marker, nothing in inventory and I couldn't go and speak to him again. so It was propper bugged! I also saw they had a mechanic in the last game that allowed you to reset a mission or something, not sure why they took it out for this one though!
