Missable quests
Hi, I will try to explain what is my issue. Right now, I accept every sidequest as I see it, because I am afraid, that quest might disappear later. In Origins, there were some quests, which could be seen and accepted only when you were close enough to them. So I learned to accept every quest as soon as possible and return to it later via Quests menu.

However this have one big issue for me - accepting quest will launch introduction cutscene and when I accept multiple quests which I will finish later, it tear up experience from storytelling, because when I return to quest, I sometimes don't remember what happened in intro cutscene.

Do you have any tip how to solve this issue? Are missable/local quests marked somehow different? Can you safely tell from appearence of blip icon that quest will be there forever until you accept it? Or there is no other way how to not miss any quest than accept it asap?

Thanks for tips...

In Exploration mode i believe its just like Origins they show up when you discover them but in standard you see everything

Hi !

I'm almost certain than none of the "important" sidequest have expiration time. (note that the quest on the boards are totaly not scripted, and are non - story quest proceduraly generated over time, so i don't count them as "real" secondary quests ^^).

I have finished the game at 100% quests (quest speaking, i still miss some fort cleaning and things like this) and it seem i haven't miss nor see any disapear.

Thei're no spoil to say, i guess, that none of the sidequest involve death of npc involved in another quest, so no issue here :)

You can / probably should just take them when you want to do them for not breaking the flow of the quests, that are really nice for sidequest buy the way ^^

I had one once you arrive at the first island after the tutorial island. There was a guy on the path between the Spartan area and main city hub. I didn't take it as I am the same as you (want to keep track of why I'm doing certain quests). That vanished for me after I did an important story mission.

It looked exactly like any other quest, and I purposely left it for a later time. Shame.

Thanks guys, I know there is no missable important quest, but I don't want to miss anything. I want to do as much story as possible. Basically Entity confirmed for me that there are same "local" quests like in Origins and if you go futher, they will disappear. From what I know from Origins, they will reappear if you come close again, but you have to remember the location.

It is harder in Odyssey to find which quests you missed even with list on internet, because there is no "Done" category which was in Origins (at least I did not find it).

For a totaly achiever objectif, if that can help, you can enable the full guided mode later on, it will show every mission on already explored island as long as you have used the sync points. (the one that guide you directly to objective, actualy also reveal all quest around the birdies, like in old assassins creed games ^^)

So there are timed side quests that are shown by black background with an hourglass, these don't affect anything and are entirely random afaik, then there's the timed side quests that affect the story or some other quests, a black background with a grey arrow going left and a white going right. Sometimes they are show up at some point in the main story after a past choice you made ( sparing a poor guy might show them happy and richer for example ), I'm not sure when they go away but some main quests make them disappear without telling you.

Then there's side quests that are shown like main quests, yellow outline around them. Some of them affect the story or other side quests and the timed ones go away when you progress through whatever quest they affect. An example is that I saw a quest for Barnabas but I thought I'd save it just to turn in my main story quest since it was closer, next thing I know it disappeared.

Afaik theres no way to tell if a quest will stay or disappear, so do what I should've done and do every side quest before the main story.

basicly if they have a yellow ! in their symbol they're "story quests" if they have a hour glass they're limited time filer quests, stuff you can do if you wanna gain some more money and XP but essentially chores
