difficulty level
The game is too easy, even on the most difficult setting.
It doesn't matter if it only takes the enemy 2 hits to kill you, and takes 100 to kill them, because all you have to do is poke, back off, poke, back off, rinse and repeat.
I was hoping for something more clever to the difficulty setting being increased, like enemies attacking in ways they hadn't before, new moves or them going for combos, stuff like that.

Going from lowest difficulty where it takes them 10 hits to kill me and me 10 to kill them to the most difficult where it takes them 2 hits to kill me and me 100 to kill them is meaningless. All it does is make the game WAY more grindy than it already is, it actually doesn't make the game any more difficult at all.
Wasn't that supposed to be the point?

are you talking about sjws or refunding the game or other fake outrage? then no one is interested

I've played through the entire game on hard and went mostly hunter / asssassin and was able to nearly 2-3 shot most enemies and 5 shot elites till i got some nice legendary bows and then was able to 1-2 shot elites when stacking hunter dmg engravings along with crit chance/dmg

Oh god that's sad I'm not looking to make this game easier than it already is

Eh, I am playing on normal and I have no issues with difficulty. Many times I fly through stuff but I have died, mainly due to being swarmed by too many enemies at one.

Other than making the player weaker or the enemies stronger (and become a damage sponge) I bet there is not much that they can do. I am guessing that they don't want to deal with programing a different enemy AI for every difficulty level.

I think hard is almost perfect. I just wish there was a difficulty where you could kill in a couple hits and also get killed in a couple hits. nightmare has half that lol

You can't have better AI and at the same time support decade old hardware.

If a developer only designed for ~3 year old hardware, you would be able to have better AI. That will never happen, so wait ~10 more years until everyone has Tensor cores in their GPUs and AVX-512.

Then you can have Deep AI, with contextual branching and 60 updates a second.

well, sounds like you understand this better than i do because I have no idea what you're talking about. But, it sounds like lazy devs is not the reason behind my complaint like I had originally thought.

This game is completely ruined by the scrub tier, for IGN reporters, normal difficulty. Its so easy on normal that that they might well have an auto play so you can make a sandwich while the game play itself.

However, the game becomes an open world Dark Souls masterpiece if you play on nightmare. A normal enemy can wreck you in three hits and overpower hits can do you in with one strike. This forced me to play stealthy and git gud at the amazing combat. The game, and the world, is much, much more exciting on nightmare.

I play the game on nightmare as well, enemies aren't difficult to defeat, it just takes a while because they are some serious damage sponges.

calling bs on 90% of this

yeah i dont think that you have come across a group off boars. lions etc. or those legendary animals. especially the first one. thats not soo easy to do on nightmare. due to it spawning 4 small ones that are annoying ones they rush at you from all directions. this game is by far not easy. unless you make it easy. dont make your character too op. dont go for the obvious hunter playstyle that will be op asf. go balanced and you will have a more fun approach. like im having. 26 hours in and still havent done the like 3th or 4th main story missions. xD

It's true of all games. Until convolution can be used by the AI to anticipate and counter the players actions in time and space, AI will always be a set of static routines called by triggers.

That said RTX cards and future, have CNN hardware support. But developers are unlikely to use until at least ~70% of the market has the tech.

Heck even AVX seems to make the gaming community angry and it's ten years old. Newer AVX-512 allows nesting of AVX and AVX2 routines in a single operation, which would allow vectorized AI to be more dynamic, or at least have a higher update refresh.

Then end result is it is easier to convince people they need a new DX feature or video card, then to convince them they need new CPU features.

If you are unfamiliar with convolution, it's what we use for autonomous vehicle AI. It allows learned behaviors, and updates on such behavior based on visual stimuli.

Real gamers will see that more and more games require stronger cpu's not gpu's.

But its really not smart to have a cpu thats like 5 to 9 years old in these days anymore. mine is from 2017 (i5 7600) and it works perfectly for 2k resolution together with an gtx 1070 sc.
