If you could install the game, the key is likely registered into Uplay.
So the problem here is how the game responds to your hardware, or maybe software? (Operating system is one thing to look at, if you are on Win7).
My external monitor is connected to the eGPU, so whatever I run on that monitor is automatically allocated to the GTX1080. I couldn't find such an option to force using the GPU for a specific application (perhaps it's dependent on the driver version). Anyways, the stated issue still occurs after disabling all other graphic cards, so I suppose that is not the issue. Also detaching the eGPU and trying to run the game with integrated Radeon 560 pro doesn't work.
MacBook Pro 13-inch, 2017, 3,5 GHz Intel Core i7, 16 ГБ 2133 MHz LPDDR3 + BizonBox GTX1070. Win 10 pro. The game does not start. A small screen saver hangs and the application stops loading the processor.
Try this..
1) Antialising FXAA = OFF in Nvidia control panel (just in case ,used to crash Origin)
2) Go to steam library menu ,double click ,, then in the name of the game
Assassins Odyssey ,right click Properties.. In [LOCAL FILES]
press [VERIFY Integrity of game files]
after i did that.. found 1 file wrong...
and Steam began to update the game.. downloaded a 200Mb file.
and now the game runs perfect again...
3)others claim that by modifying the game ini.. in my documents ,under assassin creed odyseey... to edit the ini .. open it with a notepad. and changing full screen to zero helped. but it did not worked for me..
If the Game launching process breaks.. IS NOT a hardware issue.. or driver issue..
or windows issue or requirement issue..
is some process ubisoft do , right before the game loading start..
Try the above and see if it works. it did it for me..
4) finally if the above dont work.. be sure your antivirus is not blocking the executable of the game, under quarantine ,can block the Game executable.. i know this..because it did it to me.. in odyseey you will need to exclude the game executable and declared Trusted file.. If don't know how to do that.. then just uninstall completely your antivirus../firewall.
restart windows and try again , you need obisoft launcher online and overlays enable i think.
last hint..but maybe not for this game.. Nvidia Geforce Experience/shadow play Highlights in the past used to mess with game launching process , it did it with Metal Gear SolidV that game crashed.. only solution was to uninstall geforce exp /shadowplay named before..and use a different capture software to record my game plays. no idea if the incompatiblity getween Geforce exp.. and metal gear was fixed..
