Can't get past the splash screen
I've tried every single solution I could find. I've tried:

- Wiping out the system and installing the windows again
- Re-installing the game
- Disabling integrated graphics
- Both UPlay and the game are installed on C:\ already
- All the basic things, such as verifying file integrity, compatibility mode, etc.

And yes, my hardware meets the requirements and also supports AVX. The very problem also occurs for AC:Origins. I wonder how long it will take for Ubisoft support to actually address this, assuming they can, a year?

Same here its pretty annoying paying sixty dollars for a game and not even being able to play it, can run everything currently out on Ultra just fine but of course this game has to do this better off just asking for a refund then trying to even deal with Ubisoft

My game wont start either

You should start by listing your hardware requirements and then stating where you purchased the game?

If you could install the game, the key is likely registered into Uplay.
So the problem here is how the game responds to your hardware, or maybe software? (Operating system is one thing to look at, if you are on Win7).

If you have MSI and RTSS, turn them off, they interfere with the game.

My hardware is i7 7820HQ and GTX1080. It is actually Macbook Pro 15-inch (2017), with GTX1080 attached as an eGPU (aorus gaming box). The game is purchased on steam, and it happens regardless of whether it is launched from steam or uplay (I don't think there's any difference by the way). And neither MSI afterburner nor RTSS is installed.

Try this: Go into your AC:O Dir and right click the .exe go to compatibility and disable full screen optimization.

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately that doesn't work neither.

Last thing i can think of is go to. Device Manager and disabled the integrated GPU.

That's also one of the solutions I have tested, as stated in the OP.

It could be because you're using an External Videocard if i'm correct... Aorus gaming box on Mac!!!! You may need to go into the Nvidia Control Panel and tell it to use the 1080 as the 2d & 3d Video Card for this application,... It could be the mac vidoe card is causing a conflit... I don't mean disabling the card in Mac's verison of a Device Manager, But just make sure Nvidia knows it should be using it and not something else when launched...

My external monitor is connected to the eGPU, so whatever I run on that monitor is automatically allocated to the GTX1080. I couldn't find such an option to force using the GPU for a specific application (perhaps it's dependent on the driver version). Anyways, the stated issue still occurs after disabling all other graphic cards, so I suppose that is not the issue. Also detaching the eGPU and trying to run the game with integrated Radeon 560 pro doesn't work.

Similarly, the problem.
MacBook Pro 13-inch, 2017, 3,5 GHz Intel Core i7, 16 ГБ 2133 MHz LPDDR3 + BizonBox GTX1070. Win 10 pro. The game does not start. A small screen saver hangs and the application stops loading the processor.

Why don't you open your PC management console and look at the error logs???? That should tell you quite a lot about what's happening.

My problem was Windows Storage Space. Cant play Uplay games located on a Storage Space

i had problems too... now fixed..

Try this..

1) Antialising FXAA = OFF in Nvidia control panel (just in case ,used to crash Origin)

2) Go to steam library menu ,double click ,, then in the name of the game
Assassins Odyssey ,right click Properties.. In [LOCAL FILES]
press [VERIFY Integrity of game files]

after i did that.. found 1 file wrong...

and Steam began to update the game.. downloaded a 200Mb file.

and now the game runs perfect again...

3)others claim that by modifying the game ini.. in my documents ,under assassin creed odyseey... to edit the ini .. open it with a notepad. and changing full screen to zero helped. but it did not worked for me..

If the Game launching process breaks.. IS NOT a hardware issue.. or driver issue..
or windows issue or requirement issue..
is some process ubisoft do , right before the game loading start..
Try the above and see if it works. it did it for me..

4) finally if the above dont work.. be sure your antivirus is not blocking the executable of the game, under quarantine ,can block the Game executable.. i know this..because it did it to me.. in odyseey you will need to exclude the game executable and declared Trusted file.. If don't know how to do that.. then just uninstall completely your antivirus../firewall.
restart windows and try again , you need obisoft launcher online and overlays enable i think.

last hint..but maybe not for this game.. Nvidia Geforce Experience/shadow play Highlights in the past used to mess with game launching process , it did it with Metal Gear SolidV that game crashed.. only solution was to uninstall geforce exp /shadowplay named before..and use a different capture software to record my game plays. no idea if the incompatiblity getween Geforce exp.. and metal gear was fixed..
