merchant ships?
Where are they?

those are all the small ships with no rudder crew. they also down have the blue (athen), red (sparta) or brown (pirates) sails.

the smallest ships on the water, and they do not have oars. You also can use your bird to scout and see what kind of ship it is.

Thank you for the tip, I didnt think to use Ikaros while on the ship!

Ikaros can be very useful while you're at sea. Several times Ikaros helped me avoid taking on a fleet of 3-4 ships that are several levels above me. Or scouting a coastline when I'm sailing into new territory.
