Playing as Kassandra feels wrong

Started to play as Kassandra and i must say i am kinda dissapointed.

I am Lvl 22 so i´ve already done some Questing and its clear as Day that Ubisoft only tested with Alexios and just put Kassandra (as Playermodel) in to appeal to a broader Audience.

It starts with the Skills. On lots of Descriptions you find something like "Alexios ..."

Story wasnt checked. First time out of the Animus and on returing to the Animus they talked about "Returning to Alexios"

Romance Options as Kassandra feel very awkward since Kassandra says the same Lines as Alexios would.

Must say i am really disappointed by playing as Kassandra because Ubisoft dIdn´t put much time in this besides Creating Kassandra Model. And even for that they didnt invest much time. Kassandra looks like shes got a Male Body with a Female Head.

Why did Ubisoft even bother to put Kassandra in when it just feels like you are playing as another Dude. For a Team as big as the AC Crew i would have expected more.

Does anyone else feel the same way ??

Kass's voice acting feels more on point than Alexios.
She doesn't feel like she was thrown in to appease a want. She feels...Greek.
Alexios feels like when American actors do fake French accents and sound like honking geese.

At release, the enemies all used "Him" in their voice lines when playing as Kassandra

"I can hear him!" "I SEE HIM!" "GET HIM!"
Untill a day later they started using "her" instead, it was stupid

I remember that, but to be fair, if you're wearing armor and a helmet, it'd be pretty difficult to tell.

I played as alexios for a few hours at first and then my save was deleted so I started as Kassandra. I have to say, the voice acting is far more consistent with her than it is with alexios. I’m enjoying playing as her tbh.

They aren't poor, but its an extra expense that wasn't needed for their previous games, like origin. People are way to nitpicky about AAA games nowadays, They whine about the price, the microtransactions, and everything else, but if we keep downvoting all those games we probably just going to end up with only Mobile games in the future. Mobile gaming is where its at for pure profit, cheap to create, accessible to more players and alot of them earn more money than AAA games, so why spend years and millions of dollars to create next gen games if players are always dissatified.

I disagree with you.

Have you ever played Saint Row 3 (or 4)?

That game allowed you to choose between male or female protagonist character.
And yes, it was comepletly same nothing different whatsoever.

It doesn't happen with Odyssey.
Why? Because it has CHOICES.

You can choose your "odyssey" here. You wanna be straight up mercenary? Sure. You wanna be a true spartan warrior? Sure...

I played this game in 2 different characters, Kassandra is more emotional focus answer... Like she always choose to answer things emotionally. She care other people, and most importantly her family.

but when i am playing Aleksios, i choose the answer to be more brutal and violent. He doesn't give a crap other people. Killing civilians is a normal thing. And yes my skill build is different too. Kassandra is more Assassin, and Aleksios is more Warrior.

Main reason that she's so tall and her body so muscular is most likely a technical one, there is a ton of animations in AC games, with all the climbing and fighting, i assume both protagonist use the exact same animations, so they need a similar sized skeleton for them to work correctly. I do find it odd that shes so tall, her musculature can be explained, but shes at least one head taller than every other npc.

Alexios voice (english) is absolutely terrible compared to Kassandra. I started with Alexios but I can't play for 100h+ with such a bad voice actor, I just can't. His face is also weird.

it's all about personal taste in the end.

Kassandrs was developed first, by the way. So her lines were given to Alexios after, not before.

That is just not true or your game bugged. Had that scene yesterday and she clearly said " i want to return to Kassandra"
Also Kassandra was the character the game was made for, playable Alexios only came into the game late in the development circle because the marketing department panicked that the usual manbabies would not buy the game when they only could play as a "womyn".
She is the canon lore character and the story was written for her. As were all the animations, which is the reason Alexios looks like he crapped his pants when running.
Add the terrible voice acting of Alexios on top of that " i am tough guy grrrr" and no thank you.

Kassandra is superior in every way.

But of course you are free to play whoever you want.
