Playing as Kassandra feels wrong
Started to play as Kassandra and i must say i am kinda dissapointed.

I am Lvl 22 so i´ve already done some Questing and its clear as Day that Ubisoft only tested with Alexios and just put Kassandra (as Playermodel) in to appeal to a broader Audience.

It starts with the Skills. On lots of Descriptions you find something like "Alexios ..."

Story wasnt checked. First time out of the Animus and on returing to the Animus they talked about "Returning to Alexios"

Romance Options as Kassandra feel very awkward since Kassandra says the same Lines as Alexios would.

Must say i am really disappointed by playing as Kassandra because Ubisoft dIdn´t put much time in this besides Creating Kassandra Model. And even for that they didnt invest much time. Kassandra looks like shes got a Male Body with a Female Head.

Why did Ubisoft even bother to put Kassandra in when it just feels like you are playing as another Dude. For a Team as big as the AC Crew i would have expected more.

Does anyone else feel the same way ??

And plz try to keep the SJW/Misogyne Attitudes out of this Thread.

Hiring an actress to create voiceover for thousands of lines isn't a casual gesture though. Having that said, the studio probably have designed and done the full set dialogues for Alex first and Kass at a later date, thus these hiccups. Still the devs have confirmed that Kass is the canon line regardless.

If you want real casual, try that female protagonist skin added a few weeks after release for ME Shadow of Mordor with 100% the original male voice.

Well i enjoy playing as her, and i mean yeah of course it's biased. Even the commercials only show Alexios. And the videos. I usually always play female because i dont want to stare at a dude all day. She's a mercenary so her body fits imo. I find the voice acting very well done. Ive seen Alexios videos and he seems rather stale and foreboding. (Maybe if you're doing a Templar/Evil guy run) but for me Kassandra feels overall great as a fit. Ive had npcs refer to her as favorite lady and best female mercenary. So at least there's that, they could left the gender out completely.

I also feel very comfortable with Kassandra. and the reason why she looks so masculine is also because some of the pieces of armor are designed for men, which also makes perfect sense in this world.

The most 'revealing' piece of armor so far is the Hunter body piece(like a bra) with some weird bodypaint slapped on. Kass certainly doesn't have much for the racks likely becuz she started her intense physical training at an early age and kept on going. She fits into men's armor really well.

yes, the creative director confirmed it, canon is only what is contained in the official novel to the game and in this novel kassandra is the main character.

Yeah it's the opposite, they added Alexious during development

and i am more then glad for that. i have no interest in playing kassandra.

but i think there is more behind it. in a interview with a german game magazine they mentioned that they added both because this game is more like a RPG then eny other AC game so far and therefore you should be able to choose if you want to play a male or a female.

And they made it sound llike this choice probably will become a permanent thing for AC games if i remember right.

I like Kassandra, her voice actress does a very good job and I find her attractive, particularly for a woman in her profession. There is occasionally dialogue which acknowledges her gender, though there are obviously a few mistakes that slipped through the cracks (I've read a thing or two, if I recall, that suggested I was playing Alexios).

As for her romance dialogue, Kass is very straight forward, knows what she wants and pursues it.

I have two seperate saves running. My Kassie is a murder hobo, sex maniac, in it for the monies. Where as my Alexios is a bleeding heart save the children, forgive wrong doings, give out hugs kinda bro.

Kassie really does have the better voice actor. But, I'm enjoying both and enjoying immensely the whining and gnashing of teeth of the "drama" of Alexios vs. Kassie all over the social medias.

I played Alexios a bit as well, with the intention of making him the ridged nice guy warrior to Kassandra's opportunistic rogue (my female characters are usually rogues), and I enjoyed him - his style is fun, his voice acting isn't as good but it's friendly and outgoing even if his accent sounds fake.
