Quest giver killed? or just nothing to do here?

As I was walking up to the Temple of Athena Skiras on the Isle of Salamis,
I found a scatter of Bodies and a Lion attacking a few survivors.
But it didn't look scripted or part of a quest.
Once I Killed the Lion I looked around but there was nothing else to do there.

I was just wondering, Is this just a scenic location or was there a quest giver there that maybe got eaten? :P
