Yeah, I don't get it, man. I usually assume someone asks a question because they generally want to know how to do something, or fix something, or find something in game... But some people can't stand that and revel in hassling them over it. I'll never understand people. :-(

Sometimes, people just need assistance and a simple question answered. Try not to let people like that get you down; it's not worth it.

Good point, Ebon. Especially when there's plenty of communities where not only do people not mind answering questions, they actually enjoy being in the position of being able to help. May be putting myself in the crosshairs here, but I just wanted to say WELL DONE Steam community.
I've been on Star citizen, Halo, destiny, Last Oasis, Sea of Thieves and many other forums and that type of response is usually the first or second response. Whether it's trying to make you feel dumb for asking a question or trying to make you feel dumb because the question has been asked before. I've been told "Maybe you should open your eyes and look through the forums first because this has been discussed a hundred times", when I already looked through the forums and didn't see the topic.
Like they are the forum police, or they are a more upstanding "Forum citizen" so they get to talk down or whatever the reason people react like that really is.
Hurrah for being one of the only community forums that puts the kibosh on this type of internet behavior.
ACO is the worst when it comes to explaining Niche mechanics like switching arrows etc, it actually doesn't say. No...not even when you scroll over it.
This type of thing is actually why forums exist in part.
Also it always blows my mind when someone tries to devalue your question or thread with snarky holier than thou responses because "It's so simple idiot, quit wasting my time".
I mean, if you're gonna respond to a thread just to be a jerk why not expend half the effort and just be helpful?
