Spear fighting

Am i the only one who finds the spear fighting in odyssey looking super dumb like why in hell should you thrust a spear while standing on one foot ...

I'm not sure if that might be effective against a "heavy" target such as a human since you actualy give up your secure stand ... In combat that might not be very wishfull

The thing that bothers me about the spears is how they magically retract / extend when you sheathe/ draw them!

yeah that look more chinese/japan style then hoplite to me(look like an animation from the Nobushi in for Honor) (like the superman stab for some elite unite in origins who was really close to the centurion in for honor)

like i said not Greek but still an example of how that is not necissarily stupid and UBI may well have borrowed stylistic elements of Asian Martial Arts because they look "cool"
