is the game anything related to HOMER's Oddysey ?

i notice ancient greek theme, but i am wandering if the storyline has anything to do with homers oddyssey

Not really, its mainly about the war between Sparta and Athen and you as a mercenary working for both sides.
Its set many hundred years after the events of Homers "Oddysey".
Though you meet a girl and can recruit her for your ship who claims to be a decendant of Odysseus.

Early on the antagonist is a bloke named 'Cyclops', which made me chuckle. It's a nice reference to Homer's Odyssey.

Ahm, you mean the Iliad by Homer? It's accounting the events before the Odyssey, mostly the Trojan war.

no, not at all, the odyssey this game is about is the odyssey of your character. The game plays during the Peloponnesian War.

if the game was related to omer's odyssey i would expect lots of trials from the gods and tasks and challenges from gods , is there any of that in the game ?
