Egypt is fun and mysterious. Greece is more actiony and has myths to fall back on. Don't get me wrong, the "Glitches" in origins were fun aka the gods, but the greek myths are more robust and offers a fair bit more variety, ontop of weapon/armor types and overall personality of the characters. If I had to choose? I'd choose odyssey, but origins is still a fantastic game.

greece, because i like ancient greece more then ancient egypt even before origins were released. Also odyssey has black flag style naval combat and i love that because black flag was my favorite AC game until now.

It's not as centered on it as BF, right? I thought the naval combat is cancer for the longest of times, because BF was almost entirely based on it, and I always kept on dying on many of the naval missions, like 10+ times in a row on same mission, but maybe that was the mechanics being ♥♥♥♥, as it was the 2nd game to have Naval combat.

its not as centered, that is right (at least not as far as i am in the game right now), but it is enogh for me to consider it absolutely awesome. :) You still have to use the ship though, otherwise you cant reach certain regions.

for me the naval combat in odyssey feels very good and i love the ship customization.

Can you board enemy ships? I don't remember if it's the Greeks or Romans who started the fad of boarding ships, instead of just setting them on fire with fire arrows/Oil amphoras.

Yes you can board, on the other hand, I felt a lot less "forced" to board a ship if I didn't want to unlike black flag.

it were the romans but you still can board as already written by BrianDavion and the rest of what he wrote is also true. :)

I'll say one thing: Bayek.

Guys, what does this have to do with Egypt vs. Greece?

I guess it makes sense, considering their entire hat was basically infantry, and they looked down on ranged units.

Egpyt because it's older and has more mystery. With Odessey I was disapointed on the size of Medusa for the Boss fight.

Egypt fits the first civ theme way better.

Greece is more interesting to me.
Vulf Oct 5, 2018 @ 5:39am
Egypt was looking much better. Even Athens in Odyssey looks boring comparing to Alexandria or Cyrene.
I have always found ancient Egypt interesting. Game mechanics wise i like Odyssey more, but Origins trumps on the setting.
