Fastest way to get Iron Metal and Wood?

Does anyone know the fastest way to obtain iron metal and wood? I need both resources to upgrade my ship. (especially for the hull and other upgrades)

runnin in forts and stealing all purple containers seem a good way to do it (don't even need to care about ennemies, just go in -> steal in view -> run away.

Also, smithy can also sell things like woods and other basic items, and wood is ultra cheap ^^

it kind of bugs me that we "don't even need to care about enemies". :P It makes looting bases feel a bit silly.

Id does, but the question was about "fast ways" haha, i must admit it's playing with the bondaries of the game but heh :p (and to be honest when you start to need 2000 animal skins.... i don't have the faith to go for a 800 - 1000 wolf killing spree XD)

You can't really miss them their is one in almost every city than have more than 5 - 6 houses XD use the bird (V key) to spot it easier :)

just use trainer and you will get all fast upgraded all my ship to max in the first min when i get it

It should be the other way around. Common gears are so common that they're literally everywhere and you can sell them for the money to buy the exact materials you need. Also clear out the marked sites and you'll easily have thousands of Drachma for materials in a few hours.

blacksmith inventory seems random but if he has iron then it costs about 20 gold per piece if i remember right.

To get iron just dismantle weapons and armor instead of selling them, also find tons of iron nodes in mines as well
