PSA: Disable Full screen optimization (Win10)

As title says, go into your AC:O Dir and right click the .exe go to compativility and check disable fulll screen optimization. It has worked to stop the FPS stutters and now I get a solid locked 1440p 60 at high on my 1070. Hope it helps someone out :)

No I don't, I mean exactly what I wrote above.... This has nothing to do with FreeSync or GSync. It's a stupid windows 10 feature that causes issues in many games.

Strange, guess it's different for everyone. Probably hardware makes a difference too. I still get fps drops in athens but everywhere else I get a solid 60 now. Before i was droping to 55 randomly all the time :/

Do u use full screen mode or bordless for this? In game i mean. Or it doesnt matter

If any of you guys have Corsairs ICU/ICUE software installed try disabling it before launching this game. It causes the game to stutter bad for me. Hope this helps.

Best thing to do if you are getting low fps is to lower volumetric cloud quality.

Two good points for troubleshooting there.

Also I run it in fullscreen, I never use Borderless but I hear it's supposed to help with both settings. The setting does apparently cause far more issues if you use borderless though.

Here's a guide on how to disable it (includes pictures ) using different options. Only options 3, 4, 5 are available for current versions of Windows.

That fix doesn't do anything. At least not on my rig. ZERO fps gain lol
