What is more profitable, selling or dismantle itens?

So everypiece of gear at the moment for me can be sold for at least +-80 Drachmae, and when i dismantle the gear, i got around 6 or 7 pieces of loot (wood, metal etc).
Is not better just to sell all your gear and buy the resources from the merchants? Everypiece of wood is around 8 Drachmaes?

I don't know the mathematical breakdown of which is better to do but personally I dismantle as resources are simply more annoying to come by unless you don't mind stopping to grind for them. You get Drachmae from everything you do pretty much so I find that to be a bit less of a chore and you can always sell some gear here and there to push you over the top if your're short. Resources however get sucked up real fast, especially in the higher end of ship upgrades.

Some say selling the items and grabbing the exact materials you need is the better option in the long run. It's hard to prove on paper as the player's in-game behavior can vary a lot.

think selling and buying the ressources sounds more profitable (you get like 300 at L20 gear already)

dismantling lvl 25 epic item gives you like 15wood but if you sell it youll get 1.5k gold which will allow you to buy 180 woods, so selling seems to be alot better choice

they are just for selling, no other uses. there is even button to sell all "junk" when you are visiting blacksmith

Dismantle items, do bounties (especially during conquests) for money. If you can get multiple bounties that have you doing the same thing, even better since one action will work for all those bounties.

e.g. bounty 1 = kill 10 athenian soldiers
bounty 2 = assassinate 5 athenian soldier


You can kill two birds with one stone with 10 athenian soldiers.

at my lvl currently (32) epic gears sell for 1.5 to 2.5k gold which allows me to buy like 5 times the resources dismantling would give

At around level 20 you start to get into the territory where it's worth more to sell blues/epics and buy mats with the money instead.
Before that though, I recommend just dismantling everything.

Sell weapons, dismantal armour. (Leather is probs the hardest resourse to come by (unless you can buy it somewhere and I just haven't seen it) Wood is easy and the others you never really need in mass amount.
