Wolf of Sparta - Spare or kill bug, ending ruined? (Alexios)
Does anyone else have the problem that Alexios keeps saying that he killed the Wolf of Sparta, even if he spared him? As far as I know - no spoilers - the decision is kind of relevant later on, so I'm a little worried after the second time Alexios talked about his death. It's impossible I overwrote my save file since I never decided to kill him.

Is there a bug that flags the Wolf as dead even if you spared him?

i dont believe its a bug. I think the pc is just lying to protect him from anyone lese going after the wolf while he is out "finding his honor"

Well he just has the helmet. I didn't kill him but if you do, do you show the head instead? Either way. Since he is away finding his hodor, it would make sense to lie. It implies he kinda disappeared and went deep in the countryside or something like that. Plus the first person you tell it too doesn't exactly look legit and you want money from him...>.>

once you choose to kill, you are actually fighting his son, the wolf doesnt even had a chance to raise his hand. I dashed a little and power crushed his son into oblivion as he charged towards me.

After the cutscene, you took his helmet, not his head.

I tried both outcomes. It looks like the journal text is bugged to the option of "killing him". Reguardless of which one you choose but the game reacts very different if you really do off him. I think they were going for a tone of, "Well if people think he's dead, then more mercs wont go after him." So I think thats why the PC doesnt correct Barnabus for his comments. With the kill option, the surrogate son tried to kill me and i got an auto update to bounty level 2. With 2-3 hunters that ended up spawning near me afterwards. If you dont end up getting a quest later concerning the spare option, then it truly did bug out. But I figure it will happen because when I spared him, the other guy didnt show up. But I imagine most will assume he is dead b/c of his honor comment.

Playing on the PS4 btw. Got to another point with the scales option, IE Lying, and yeah, it relates to the Wolf so the Spare route is still in effect. It happens after one of the "In the Present Day" segments. Left the area, X shot an Arrow at me, and by the end of the conversation I lied my butt off with the scale option to keep hunters off the Wolf.

Yeah eveyone just beleives he is dead so you treat it like he is. (there is acutally a side mission later that groups off spartans beleive he is still alive and try leaving thier posts to find him) Though I wish in not killing him he would work with you or still lead the spartans not just disapper without a trace, cause he says he a spartan and will live or die as a spartan but then does something that is massive taboo which is abandon and desert his army. (Tbh I feel like they wrote it that you kill him then decided to change it later to give the option to no kill him)

You are right, thank you very much! I was just baffled by how Phoibe said later on I had told her I would never come back - even though I made sure to tell her that I'd visit her. There seem to be some hickups with decisions, but gladly nothing gamebreaking. Phew, thanks again!

Dude I think your 100% on to something. I was excited after playing the prologue but good god, the dialogue is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awful (atleast so far). The whole wolf of sparta cut scene made me cringe. Like he's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ spartan general and you violated a spartan law, ofc your ass is dead, if you are a spartan you'd understand that. IRL shoulda asked for his fathers forgiveness not be whining like an SJW. I let him live... or so I thought, but the dialogue is making me think I killed him so I just wanted to confirm ♥♥♥♥♥♥ writing and not bug..

He's lying. Don't worry about it.
Selene♥ Oct 21, 2018 @ 3:02am
he lies so the cult doesnt continue to try to find and kill the wolf....you will see later in game.
