Master abilities: which do you use?
I am curious where folks have invested their AP beyond the base abilities.

Here are mine:
Hunter
- +2% Hunter damage (1/20)
- +5% CRIT chance (20/20)
- +25% CRIT damage (20/20)
Warrior
- +20% Warrior damage (20/20)
- +20% Health (20/20)
- +60% Armor (20/20)
- +2% Fire Damage (1/20)
Assassin
- +20% Assassin damage (20/20)
- +10% CRIT chance full health (20/20)
- +50% CRIT damage full health (20/20)
- +30% damage w/ swords (20/20)
- +20% damage at full health (20/20)
- +4.8% damage w/ Rush Assassinate (6/20)

Before you ask, I have over 200 hrs of game time and only have about 15 base abilities enabled.

Running with the spartan war hero set (But customized with the Abstergo soldier set), I have 2 engravings which increase all damage (+10% each), 2 which increases assassin damage (+20% each) and one which increases spear damage (+30%)

My primary is the Black Thorn spear with fire engraving (Store item), secondary is Bident of the Underworld (Store item) and bow is Hades' Bow

Where do your “notable perks” come from? I like the last two but I would imagine with the first one you would always die with one hit??

they're engravings on the weapons, I've used that engraving for well over 300 hours and I've gotten pretty good at avoiding damage. The catch is you can die to the stupidest ♥♥♥♥, like the impact of smokebombs dropped by mercenaries (which are instant), yeah that ♥♥♥♥ actually deals damage

I see no such engravings. Did they come from a particular item?

They're from legend tier store items

Actually naming the items would help..

I did in my first post though

Edit: The first engraving can acquired by finding the Falx of Olympos spear https://gameplay.tips/guides/3138-assassins-creed-odyssey.html
The +30% damage engraving I believe is from the Nemean Claw heavy mace, a store item
The +25% warrior damage engraving is from The Bident of the Underworld, also a store item

I play withouth engravings. Because I think they don't carry over to the next weapon and I need to buy it again. Is this true?

Each weapon needs to be engraved individually, that is correct. However, engravings are comically cheap and give significant bonuses so you are severely handicapping your char by not using them.

Thanks for the info! I normally do not spend real cash on in-game items but that +30% damage full health perk sure makes the Nemean Lion pack real tempting!!

Having said all that, this post is about master abilities people!! :-D

What is the difference between " X% Assassin damage" and " x% to Assassin abilities" ?
I assume Assassin abilities means it provides a damage boost to all things under the assassin tree but then what does the boost to Assassin cover?

Assassin abilities are abilities that use assassin damage, like Rush Assassinate

I personally would advise against fully maxing a mastery as they have diminishing returns. The more you upgrade a mastery, the less increase in value you get.

Take the "Damage dealt restored as health" for example. With 8 points you get 3%, at 12 points you get 4% while at 20 points you get but 5%. 1% at the cost of 8 points - imo really not worth it.

Currently it seems best to go 8 or 12 points depending on mastery and personal preference. This way you can also choose more masteries. But each to their own. :3
