Shield and spear
Please ubisoft. Make a DLC or add on where I can wield a shield just like in Origins...

Its a damn shame being born spartan and never be able to wield a Spartan Shield along with my Achilles spear...

I know it outside the game point etc, but ive personally finnished my story and I just wanna battle like a true hoplite at this point.

Please pretty please with non stop on top, make the Alex&kass able to wield shields.

It does not have to be 300 but it is obvious that it would be necessary to use shields in this game. It was a terrible decision not to add them.

What do you even mean? Origins had shields. As for 300, Odyssey rips off and references that film a lot as it is and you're making out that adding shields would turn it into 300? Just lol.

It might come as a surprise, but that movie didn't invent the idea that Spartans valued the use of shields very much. The phrase "Return with it or on it" when it comes to shields was very much part of Spartan culture, and their shield tactics were incredibly important for their success.

I'd be very surprised if Kassandra/Alexios never had the importance of shields drilled into her/his mind when she/he was a child.

You are correct. But Spartan shield tactics are specially worthy of note, as they were a big part of their cultural identity as the military nation that they were. And, well, this thread is focusing on the Spartan shields specifically, and the main character of the game is Spartan. But absolutely, shields were extremely important back then, which is why you can see so many soldiers and mercenaries carrying them and we even have a skill specifically for breaking them.

I feel like, taking all of that in consideration, if shields were a thing in Origins, they absolutely should have been a thing too in Odyssey, especially due to the main character's origin.

There should be an option to select between a shield or Leonidas spear. I think only a petition can have effect in this case.

I am not asking to change the game, or the importance of the spear. I am just asking about us being allowed a DLC or add on pack where we can choose to wield a shield with our spear, sword. They already have the battle style from Origins and its easy enough to add that in Odyssey when wielding the Shield and at the same time keep the current battle style when you decide to go with leonidas spear aswell. Its not a game changer its just a option that adds moore taste to the game.

Pluss.. Its unreasonable to deny us this shield in this ERA. Shields are status and very important to this ERA.

Simple shield add on is just reasonable and fun.

Personally I would have liked the option to use the spear as a main weapon. The first time I went to the forge, I thought putting it into the machine would rebuild it.

I'm amazed how there are humans like that. There are people who just want to be against everything. Even if they do not gain anything from it.

I'm the kind of person who supports others, even if I do not see the need for something. If there is someone who wants something why not support? Humanity is disgusting. Unfortunately...
