[GUIDE] How To Recruit - Hippokrates

Greetings,

this guide includes all the choices made throughout the Hippokrates questline so that you can recruit Hippokrates for Adrestia. All the quests were done during Episode 7 of the main story.

Below is a list of all related quests, including the choices that were made.

First Do No Harm

This quest is a part of the main storyline that leads to meeting Hippokrates.

Choices:

- No need to be angry
- I'll do it for free

- I won't take long
- I need your help

IMPORTANT - Don't ask him about his baldness

The Doctor Will See You Now

IMPORTANT - You have to do this quest before doing any quests related to the Priests of Asklepios, otherwise Hippokrates' patient will die and you will be unable to recruit him.

Choices:

- I could pay you (this option will save both patients when trying to get Dymas to help)

- I paid him to come

The Hunting Party

First Hippokrates side-quest located in Boeotia, after gaining the two tasks by the Kings of Sparta.

Choices:

- They must be saved

Let My Patients Go

Second Hippokrates side-quest located in Boeotia.

Choices:

- Save him because it's right

- He won't hurt anyone else

Inheritance Insurance

Third Hippokrates side-quest located in Boeotia.

Choices:

- Pain is part of life

- I'm happy to help
- It's not my place

Too Much Of A Good Thing

Fourth Hippokrates side-quest located in Boeotia.

Choices:

- You're doing the right thing
- I'll add the right amount


These were my own personal choices which led to Hippokrates joining the crew on the Adrestia as an NPC that mostly sits in the back of the ship. Hoping this helps anyone who wanted to have him on their ship.

During the "The Doctor Will See You Now" quest, I neglected to tell Hippokrates about paying Dymas, am I screwed now?

You can always load back an earlier save if you are unsure!

Seems like that one tiny decision ruins the entire questline. Just did "Too Much Of A Good Thing" and was unable to recruit Hippocrates. What a waste of time.

hey do you know how to get hippokrates? he just said " forgive me , i have still a lot people to help" and i did all the things right and it still wont work

Unfortunately, it seems recruiting Hippokrates is bugged again. Did the quests exactly how this guide described, but the option to recuit him never showed up. Tried reloading multiple times and even tried the other choices throughout the Boeotia quests. Shame, I really wanted to get him on the Adrestia even though he does nothing.

Okay! I figured out the issue. So I've been trying to figure out why I couldn't recruit him. I've tried a fresh start and now a new game+. Nothing worked. So I decided to try and see if maybe his whol phrasing of others still needing his help meant he still wanted to be along for the storyline. I went through everything. Even to the part of We Remember. I went back and did these quests straight after. It worked!

Do Hippocrates's Quests After the Main Storyline is completed! I got him!

Sorry for bumping this old guide, I just confirmed that you dont need to complete the main story to got them. I do all of the choice above but the important thing is I NEVER ASK ABOUT HIS BALD HAIR on the The Doctor Will See You Now quest!

REMEMBER, in the First Do No Harm quest, his student warn you NOT TO MENTION HIS BALD HAIR WHEN MEET HIM! HE DOESNT LIKE PEOPLE MENTION ABOUT HIS HAIR!

This choice is very missable because this is a question choice not a decision choice, so becareful! I restarting my NG+ and lost 50h playtime because of this.

Here is my screenshot, i just got him at chapter 7 just before killing drakon
