Worth $60 Still?

So I am thinking of getting this game as I am completely out of games to play, but is it worth $60 still? Or a better question... Why is this game still $60 almost a year later.. You'd think a game that came out October of 2018, that it would be like 35-40 dollars now but its not.

Any thoughts on me purchasing it?

From what I have seen around the internet AC Odyssey has got a lot of new comers to the series, though the differences between ACOD and older AC games make it really hard for most of those newbies to enjoy/like the older titles.

I'd be very surprised if I had a console mindset since I've not owned a console since the Super Nintendo came out and have been gaming on PC only since 1995.

Claiming a game is worth more now than at release when it's been out for months, because of patches is stupid. Patches are part of 99.99 percent on games on PC, and as for additional content people already paid for that with the season pass. You don't see anyone saying The Witcher 3 or Deus Ex are worth more today than at launch because of patches. The way you talk about patches and game value is stereotypical of console players that have little experience outside that sphere.

As for it making me feel good? No, what kind of question is that? I'm calling it as i see it. You're trying to make out that the game is a bargain at it's full retail price...

I did not say its a bargain and you've ignoring that this game has undergone major changes with the patches, I called them IMPROVEMENTS, btw, not patches. Read what I posted, in language words have meaning, omitted words change the meaning of the post.

LOL no i reread your post and it's due to your poor wording and my assumption based on that. You said "it's worth more it's launch price now" which looks like you missed a "than" out, if you'd said "it's more worth it's launch price now" or "it's worthy of it's launch price now" there wouldn't have been any issues so we're both at fault. This makes it even funnier that you proceed to lecture me on word meanings... Anyway my point on patches remains the same, almost every game released on PC has improved with patches, improving with patches doesn't increase the games monetary value or hold it's value against time.

This is all a waste of time anyway as the game is regularly on sale across multiple sites and e-stores and there is no reason for anyone to pay the full price for it when they can get it half price on sale now.

NOT AT all, buy at max 29 dollarEuro, not a penny more, avoid DLCs. The game is Wonderlust, for the rest is really bad paced, bad design, bad written (romance is EXTREMELY ridicolous) not worth your time, for the money of course give it to the creators... but the publisher? no.. the publisher is pushing down player throat really bad things in last years.

I got it the Gold Edition from Fanatical for 50 CAD (Uplay version), and I must say that it is totally worth it. There is so much to do and play. And as you progress, you find many many more things to do. The DLC adds a lot to the game, like Lost Tales of Greece which I was not even aware of when buying. Definitely go for it. You can get discount on various third party sites as some pointed out.

Wait for a sale, there is loads of "content" , but most of it is repetitive , it's like coming home from work to do some more work at home, and I'm not enjoying it. In nearly 6 months I've only managed 40 hours, god knows when I'll find the motivation to finish this game
