Anyone with this configuration? Whats the fps like? I'm considering buying it for someone who has this laptop but I don't want to have him not be able to enjoy it because of bad frames

It has fps shocks, believe me.

With that laptop you'll likely need to cap at 30 fps to get consistent performance. High settings at 1080p/30 is totally possible, though he'll want to play with a controller to make it playable.

Seriously? I've been playing this game with an i7-3770/GTX 770 on medium settings and the only slow down was during the Olympic fights at a certain angle. Check the graphic settings and don't set it to a level that requires more VRAM than you have.

I have 1050ti and have 1080p/30fps on high,
so you should have on 1080p/40fps on high as well, I GUESS.
8gb ram and same processor.

I have the 1060 6GB and the optimization sucks. The game barely holds 45 fps before it suddenly starts to stutter. Then it would be smooth for a while then stutters again. So I say go for the 1060 6GB card as it handles all the games pretty much at 50-60 fps if not 60 at ultra high settings. Just be prepared to see stutters in this game due to the bad optimization plus the new update v1.2.1 is pathetic. SO now the decision is solely upto you. I am very happy with this card.

locked 60 on this game is impossible. if your cpu is strong enough, crap like the torch will tank you a good 20fps. if your gpu is powerful, your cpu will bottleneck in cities.

these games are not made for 60. the optimisation simply isn't there. I mean 83 down to 62 for pulling out a sodding torch to burn a supplies cache? What are they smoking?

Capping at 50 (if you have an adaptive sync monitor or a monitor that supports 50Hz) works wonders in this game. On my Ryzen 7 1700/GTX 1080 system I have it capped at 50 at 1440p-ish (actually 1080p with 140% res scale) and I can hold 50 fps 99.5% of the time. A few of the caves with lots of flames still tank the frame rate, or if I start a fight in the middle of Athens and 100 guards show up, but for the vast majority of the time I have a totally stable 50 fps.

Game likely will run at least with 30 fps but not max graphics, 3GB is too low to run max graphics but at least on 1080p low to medium settings it will be playable, you will just need to tweak settings to your liking.
