Why do you think it's miserable anyway?
The game does get better tho, The next God you meet is alot more Interesting then Persephone, And the fight you have to get into his realm is pretty fun.
The third episode is of course Atlantis itself, Where you meet Poseiden. This DLC is fun too,And the weapons/armor you get are very nice. (Telling you who the god is because the main menu pretty much spoils it anyways)
Even when you help her and she claims to owe you a favor, she doesn't offer to let you through.
I'm gonna spoil a little bit by saying this: Hades and Persephone are very similer in the since that they like having their "toys". Both don't like letting people leave their realms, Because they are both prisoners of their own realms in a sense. There is a quote from hades that sums it up nicely: "A fate worse then death is living an eternity without toys"
There was a few missions where you could expose people to her. You can expose the traitor guard guy when persephone asks you to kill Leonidas, And you can expose Hekate if you choose the right dialogue options.
But I do agree that some of the options weren't what we'd want to say.
The skill points are nice though
