Impossible Medusa

I give up I am lock in Writhing dead for over 6 hours
This part of game is just NUTS
DIE DIE over and over
JUST over the top difficult

Medusa is the most difficult of the mythical creatures for a reason, you need to learn her pattern and use the pilas at your advantage when she shoots that beam. You can also turn the difficult down.

Just run around, when she makes stone gaze hide behind column and shoot arrows. Use battle skills, heal if hit with gaze.
It's long and kinda boring, but not that hard if prepared. I did it on nightmare.

What I really do not like is she is bad enough by her self but
this constant spontaneous appearing troops is nuts

Don't give up yet OP! Have you tried taking her on using a different build?

Also if you do a search on this forum, there are lots of helpful posts sharing tips for defeating Medusa!

With a warrior build using the Spartan renegade set. I set high crit %, and health restore on damage dealt , engravings on my armor, used Demois sword, to get adrenaline on hits. Keep moving, when she shoots here beam, hit her in the head with a fire arrow. She staggers for a few seconds, run in and do a combo. I used bull rush, ROC and sparta kick as I could. Hitting her minions is a good way to build adrenaline and restore health with this build.

i used an assassin build with daggers as my main weapon, but ended up essentially running from pillar to pillar hiding and shooting her with a crap load of arrows. a hunter class would definitly clean her up. all that being said i managed it with my build just took alot longer then any of the other mythilogical creatures. best of luck

Sucks can not get pass this Can't get out by fast travel to another area of game . only saved game I have will back me up 20 levels from 70 to 50
So I guess I am done with game :(

You should have an auto save where you put the disk in the stone to open the lair. I would go back to that. Unless you went some where else after that, before going in for the fight. I left many times when I was lvl 45 and could not beat her. Always had to click on the triangle on that island Lamos, I think, to come back to the lair doors and do the disk opening with the chick there again.

No I did not defeat her @#@!### I just got out with a auto save option
