But if you want to ruin the experience, play it after finishing the base story, some events of the dlc would completely destroy the immersion of the development of the base game.
Everything that happens in this dlc is badly counted, developed and planned, but if you do it at the end of everything, you won't feel it so much.
I need to ask, what was cringeworthy? The facial expressions and the emotionless voice acting in Alexios ? These are the only things I can remember right now.
More the way Kassandra goes nuts over Natakas - easily the least interesting man she's encountered on her odyssey. It doesn't help that Natakas's facial expressions always look like he's three seconds away from bursting into tears, and the only thing he even seems to have an opinion on is enjoying wine. Even within the DLC, Natakas is greatly overshadowed by Darius, leaving Natakas as a minor player in his own story.
It was also very cringeworthy to suddenly go from fighting mythical monsters and toppling kings to popping out a baby, going shopping for the family, and going into cooing mommy mode. That bit probably plays a lot better as Alexios who isn't forced to be a walking gender stereotype.
Why is that?
Missing out on the Judgment of the Lion if you do that, and it has a very sweet engraving on it.
In that case
Honestly, I haven't tried Kassandra yet, I just went with Alexios, and it was actually very decent, I can't see the point of having a baby and enjoying a family life for once for a little while as a cringeworthy material. And, there's really nothing wrong with Kassandra going to grab some goodies, she's a woman and a strong one, not a paralyzed entitled pseudo feminist that doesn't work hard by herself to get what she needs. I don't know what to say here. I could agree with Nataku guy though.
