I don't understand why Ubisoft has to put snakes into games.

I have a phobia of snakes. Even in games. That's why I didn't finish AC:Origins. I didn't finish either FC4 or FC5. Just thrown out money for games.

AC: Odyssey will probably be the same, although I just got to the second area where I had to go by boat for mission. I can't remember the name of the area.
However, Wolf alerted me to snakes in the grass. And that's a problem. I play with Icaros more often than I play with a character, just to avoid snakes.

However, I think that if I don't avoid it somewhere. So I uninstall the game again and it will just be another Ubisoft game I won't finish.

I really don't understand why Ubisoft started doing it. It doesn't add any plus or any quality to the game.

Previously, whether it was Far Cry or AC games, they had no problem with it.
And even the games were much better than at present.

If at least in the settings they allowed players to turn off or hide the snakes or simply warn them over the HUD.
As it is in SATISFACTORY, there are no snakes but spiders. I have no fear of spiders, but in the setting there is a possibility to turn on spider overlays and instead have pictures with a cat.

They are only in certain tombs and dont move unless you come close.
Just throw torches at them to burn them or shoot them with arrows.
They are super non threatening in Odyssey unless you blindy run trough the tomb without
looking at you enviroment.

If you just can't look at a picture of a snake, try to find a very small one, look at it for a few minutes, then gradually zoom it in until you become fine with it. That helped me deal with some creatures in Fallout 3, such as centaurs and giant ants.

As about the snakes in this game, they can only be found in some tombs, and if they really bother you, just move slowly and shoot them from a distance. It's impossible to miss them, while in Far Cry they're really hard to notice.

The game is definitely worth playing and if you really can't force yourself to come near snakes, just avoid going to tombs, you'll still have lots of fun.

Totally understand you. Im on same level with same phobia like u are (cant even look at the picture, cant even imagine..rlly). Never completed Origins because of it.. and I rlly love Egypt..

However like ppl said above.. they are only in tombs (and maybe in 2 quests).. move rlly slowly in tombs and shoot them with your bow. They cant follow you. They remain on same place, never moving.

I was really terrified of that quest u mentioned "Beware of snakes in grass".. its just a name, no snakes in that quest are present.. dont worry.

I don't know if you are serious or making a quality bait troll post, but, I'll bite and type down my own opinion about the game's snakes.

They are little ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I don't like them. I am sure devs put them in the game for fun and giggles. They can 3 hit kill you even with perfect armor/melee resistance/ranged resistance on your character. But they die so easily.

Have you tried a bow and arrow? They won't escape from that as they are mostly stationary in Odyssey. If you don't have arrows or whatnot, try to make some, or use your torch, they are weak to fire, I think. Don't be afraid as they are a game feature, meaning, they don't exist for real with you, so, try to get the courage to start killing them off to get used to that.


Again, if you are serious, I am really sorry about that issue you have and I hope one day for you to recover.

Is a war that use a symbol between ''Snake''and ''Eagle'' going to war on each other . the Cult is the snake - look at their banner , armor and symbol while Alexios use eagle . It just base on natural behavior between two predator that really dont like each other and i think the developer just have some imagination to bring an eagle that Assassin use in their ''eagle vision'' come to life and fight with the snake , pretty nice story and easy to understand.
PS . I think they should add more snake so we can fight them such as in the rice field or forest or even underwater snake it would be fun .
