WTF Is This Ending!? (Atlantis Finale) Spoilers!!
So In the end she goes back to the animus to say goodbye whatever that means and we don’t get a conclusion to Lyla’s story!? They didn’t even bother to add credits screen At the end of the episode.

Seriously!?

It's extremely anti-climatic, yes.

There's still one unobtainable achievement - Old Flames Burns Brighter.
Perhaps that's the real Epilogue to Odyssey.

Ubi staff refused to comment on it though, and I can't find anything on Google.
So that actually halts me from starting the New Game+. And I've already 100% the game, so I don't know what's there left to do.

At first i was almost happy , i thought that women or Layla Hassan in the modern world gonna be death because Alethia did not favor her anymore but sadly she is not dead and still keep me feel annoying due to her behavior she should not get the staff or anything from that place....anyway i hope they will do more DLC because Alexios and his sister will live for more than a couple of thousands year .
PS . due to the story that could continue i do hope they will finally bring us to ''Mount Olympus'' or meet Zeus and Athena as we see in the story Alexios or his sister mention a few time about ''Zeus'' quite often.
The last DLC [ Fate of Atlantis episode 3 ] make me feel abit weird because Alexios had destroyed that city but we can still come back later after the story is all end ..anyway is still good to walk around and seeing things even there are no side quest to complete anymore .

Yeah, Layla's story was not ended satisfactorily at all. She was neither redeemed nor condemned, and she wasn't really behaving as though she learned anything throughout the ordeal. My guess is she'll lie to the Assassins about who killed Victoria to cover her own skin.

@Chevalier: you're forgetting that Atlantis was just a simulation. There's no reason Alexios shouldn't be able to go back after he "destroyed" it.

From what I see in those Isu messages there is Olympus expansion coming - probably around XMas or maybe even Halloween. Apparently Layla will be involved into further trials.

I sure hope so. The ending of Episode 3 flopped harder than a dead hippo got tossed out of a plane without a chute.

But if that's the case, then how come it seems everybody got the consensus that Judgement of Atlantis is the end of Odyssey's life span?

Because most people aren't smart and they try to extrapolate their past experience there it doesn't belong. Odyssey is a blockbuster like no AC games were before - comparable to Monster Hunter World. It's still popular, almost a year after release + it has a functional shop which is more lucrative than a new game development (+50% of game's sales income with ~0% work involved). ACO still produce substantial income for Ubisoft - check out their last two quarter financial reports.

Stopping its development in current state - when there is a lot of money to be had - would be crazy. As crazy as a game about Greece without Mt. Olympus on the map.

This is how they did it with the ending for Origins. Until the next Assassin's Creed, if we can still call the new games assassin's creed. I'm pretty sure the next game will just start fresh with Layla going into her portable animus for another reason.

Anything.. , Olympus or not i still want more DLC , because Ubisoft just create a big hit with Alexios and his sister Kassandra ..and i hope we dont have to see Layla ..hehe.

PS. perhaps they should do a big turn that Alethia desire to use the staff and make Alexios and Kassandra back to life to continue their journey instead of giving to Layla [ as we see Alethia can touch things such as hold the staff ]...haha who know anything can happen. [ sorry for my foolish imagination but i am sure people gonna love it .]

They need to learn to give a satisfying conclusion / ending from blood & wine / heartstone

I really don't enjoy cliffhangers, and that's what the final Episode was. Sure there was at least "some" closure and "oh I finally found out why I'm here" kind of stuff, but overall, why end it like that? It's the last bit of story content outside of the final Lost Tales of Greece. At least that's what the word is anyway. The open ending could be setting it up for the next game, but if that was the case then at least allude to that, instead of, whatever it is we got with this "finale".

Nah, I guess it's time for some Otso Berg.

That was the end of a whole franchise, doesn't count. Stop bringing The Witcher for any game related discussions.
Why do you even care about Lyla """""""""""story"""""""""""? lmao

This. I dont give a single ♥♥♥♥ about the future storyline with the Templer/Assassins/whatever stuff.
Has lost me like 5 games ago in the series.
The Odyssey main game did the right thing and kept it in the background as far as possible.
The reason why they should do that was obvious with this DLC.

The future stuff is just a plain boring and convoluted mess by this point.
Barely anybody gives a single ♥♥♥♥ about Layla or the other characters in that timeline.

Agreed, it was a neat plot initially with the very first game, discovering things, etc, but after so many shoddy modern day sequences, the real game and plot, imo, was always the history and backstory of the setting.

That being said, the Isu stuff in the ancient setting was of "some" interest, however it felt kind of rushed, and all over the place story wise. The Eagle Bearer's/Keeper's whole plot revolved around Atlantis, and now that he/she handed the Staff off to Layla, what is Layla's purpose? It's not explained at all. Go through trials, learn about the staff, for what? Just to sit around and go back into the animus? Then there's the part with The Eagle Bearer wanting to say goodbye to friends, but there is no closure there either. Though I'm thinking that might be the last Lost Tale of Greece.

Such a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ending to the last story sequence of the game. If it alluded to the next game, then that would have been tolerable, but it did not.
