We need to talk about Old Flames Burn Brigher - Spoilers
Why the heck the protagonist is SO devastated in the ending due to "not" getting along with that woman? Who the hell is she anyways to matter to such a degree to us??

I know who she is, her name is Anais, she was a childhood friend that stood up one day against bullies of a brother that bullied Ikaros and protagonist cut off his fingers and all. Yeah. That's it. No love interest. No actual care from either side. Certainly not the kind of person of a woman I as a "fictional player" would like to be with in the first place.

Aside the fact the quest was cringeworthy and a disappointment, she was literally the kind of woman and a mom that you should NOT be with for any reason. Abandoning her child, not really caring, losing a husband which costs a lot, I agree, but trying to shove you in to her panties to take care of HER child and then telling you off because you "yelled" at him, because, you don't like lies and attitude, and then trying to shape you to the man she wants in her life but giving you the classic woman of fate quote "You know, you're perfect the way you are, it's just, you're not the one I WAS IMAGINING AND HOPING YOU WOULD BE, even though you are really great and all and you also technically fought in wars to save us and you have your own problems and life and story."

^That's bs.

I swear, personally, and I'll say it again, personally speaking, as a player, Ubisoft dropped the ball to a swamp with ♥♥♥♥ from episode 2 of Atlantis and the ending of Atlantis, huge disappointments. Not even credits, not even an actual CG cinematic to show off a potential AC work or anything, the cliffhanger was way worse and like "Okay, let's be done quickly with it." instead of "Oh, wow, this just happened!" feeling.

Was hoping this Old Tale would actually wrap things up with protagonist' past and maybe something to the future, but no, it had to do with a random person that forgot about us and gives us crap and makes us feel like ♥♥♥♥.

EXTRA : Neema is a real wife, she was okay as a character. Not perfect, but really okay and very appreciative.

I didn't remember who she was but I knew I hadn't had anything romantic with her. So I just played it straight (so to speak) and was happy to be rejected. She gave me some armor which I sold at the blacksmith.

These things are written by like three guys in three days and aren't worth worrying about at this late stage.

My thoughts exactly, yeah. I didn't got anything, didn't even romanced her, to be honest, I am just glad I did it and finished it, possibly gonna uninstall the game, too, thinking about it. I am done with it.

I didn't like this last mission either, but the story of a youth love seems less absurd, with which the character perhaps created a special bond in his past, than forced crush, with baby included that they put in Legacy of the First Blade At least here they took the trouble to explain to me why the girl rejects me, in the other case they did not explain why despite rejecting her again and again, my character ends up having a child with her.

She's a childhood friend and former love interest who left Kephallonia before the protagonist did. Depending on how you go through the story, Anais may want you to stay with her, but regardless, you move on.

I thought she must be some quest-related character I'd forgotten. But personally I'd intended Kassandra to be celibate, though that went out the window when she met Alkibiades.

The forced relationship can always be a problem that was one thing I didn't liked in Legacy, but since I really, REALLY liked Neema both as a character and as a partner in the game, I personally had no complains. On the contrary, the lack of common sense and actual development from a thrown out "friend" that we had no idea - we as players - existed in protagonist's past is at least ridiculous to me and another poor writing of "let's just be done with it."

She literally had no impact at all, certainly protagonist never mentioned her before to ANYONE in their travels, whereas everywhere they going to, they always talking about Markos, Phoebe, people that really mattered/matters to them. There is an essence here. The image of the achievement/trophy also looked fitting for protagonist' past about their OWN family, and not about that random rug of a -npc- person.

People may or may not be happy about the 'forced dlc baby', but at the very least it made sense plot-wise (straight or not - Cass\Alexios MUST have the heir, blood magic, remember?). 'Old flames' look terrible. It had been OBVIOUSLY written for Alexios (which is true for 80% of the content, as if those 100001 female flirt options had not been enough). It seems like they had never even tested the plot line with straight Cassandra. In my case, I've seen this quest after completing the 'first blade' and before starting the 'Atlantis'. Can you imagine what this experience was like?
