According to my Uplay i have 999907 gained in AC odyssey and asfar as im aware i only need 7500 XP.

How do i get this badge?

Nope, it's not experience earned in game by ur character, it's exp which u get by completing uplay challenges, like: Finish memory 1 - reward 150xp.

The Ubisoft club app for smartphones shows you how much xp you've obtained in Ubisoft's titles.

As well as the app, you can also check your XP total Here[club.ubisoft.com]. :)
