Run with Steam & Uplay , seriously?
I purchased ACO on steam, and I have to run steam and uplay , both, to start the game?
Is there a way I can only juz run only on Uplay?

Thanks.

Hello,

As Legatus stated, you must use both to run the game. You cannot initially open the game from Uplay if it is a Steam copy. Once you open the game on Steam though, it should automatically launch Uplay using the Steam overlay for you.

no, the only way to run the game only on uplay is to buy a uplay version of the game, the steam version requires both.

for the future in order to prevent future surprises you should look at the golden boxes at the steam store page of the game above the languages from which one of them states
Requires 3rd-Party Account: Ubisoft Account (Supports Linking to Steam Account)

at modern ubisoft games this pretty much always referes to uplay and means that you need both uplay and steam.

I just started the game up and it looks like UPlay is using less than 200MB of memory. On a modern machine with several thousand MB of memory, that's nothing to worry about.

Refund the game and buy it on uplay.

It is pretty small, and once you login on Uplay once, it should make the transition with the Steam overlay seamless as well.
