How does one Synchronize a location?

You usually have to climb a high point near you - like a mountain, a tall house, etc. - and, once you reach the top, a text will appear on your screen saying "press E to synchronize".
That's how you do it.
If you have trouble finding the exact spot to actually do it, use Ikaros first. Also, not every place is synchronizable, only the one marked with the eagle symbol on the map.

When I typed this up last night, I was standing on top of the Temple Of Apollo. I didnt see any message, but I'll double check. It might be somewhere else. I was standing right next to the statue on too but maybe I need to stand somewhere else.

Glad this all got sorted. It had me stumped for a bit too, but after all that climbing I wasn't going to leave until I had it synced. ;)
