Best way to kill Legendary Beasts
I tried it on the Erymanthian Boar and the The Lykaon Wolf and it's kind of easy.

As long as they're at distance use explosive arrows, If you're quick enough with shooting they're wont come any closer, (i have killed the small boars before the big one).

When the wolf calls for backup use your close combat weapon and dodge roll if the big one comes closer. I use "Hero Strike" or "'Overpower Attack).

Oh wow thanks for this tip. I've just finished the cultist storyline and I was going to move on to the legendary beasts part but was beginning to think I really really suck at fighting in this game. I keep dying fighting a legendary beast so I became quite disheartened. I shall try this and hopefully get that part completed also.
I will try .Thanks

Oh quick question, I gave up with the Medusa one - could this possibly apply to fighting that creature too? I haven't tried any of the other beasties in the Atlantis questline as yet, as Medusa kept kicking my butt so severely I could've cried.

I was dying all the time until I got the Legendary Greek Heroes set with 30% to all resistances. now I can fight and hardly take any damage. It is rare that I drop below 50% health fighting the beasts.

Medusa requires preparation and understanding of her offensive tactics. Best showing up with a strong Hunter build + fire arrows+ health upgrades. Hide behind the pillars while she is using her 'petrifier' gaze and shoot arrows at her midsection. When she slams her sword into the ground, roll away from the small explosions and go to the next pillar. Rinse and repeat. Eventually she will go into a floating bubble and you will be attacked by her minions, but those are easy to kill with your bow. When the last one dies, she will fall to the ground and be disabled for a few seconds, rush in close and use an overpowered attack to deal massive damage. Retreat behind a pillar - rinse and repeat. Eventually you will prevail.

That is standard for every boss fight as they all disable ability to run away and restore health off battle. Having Assassin build is pretty useless against all the bosses, while being great fun for rest of the game.
